Seriously. I’ve made several comments about it on this site already.
Well that was quick. Seems like days ago nobody would shut up about it. Somehow there’s still 20 stories a day on it tho.
There’s responsible way to handle these things. Review bombing is childish.
What short memories everybody has. According to the internet they became “the worst studio” after redfall… the internet made redfall a bigger deal than redfall just being a shitty game becaus *gasp* Xbox bought them and” just wanted shitty gamepass games so quality wasn’t a priority”.
(The reality was it was just rushed to market to fill a release hole).
Everybody wants Xbox to fail but as soon as closures start happening suddenly that was never the hope at all a...
The layoffs and closures are shitty but this is a bit of a stretch to relate to marketing for a controller, based on your own personal thought process. I would never have associated the two myself. Feels like a pile on article for clicks imo.
Most gamers aren’t thinking about the job market when they’re buying a controller, nor do they even care how the sausage is made (as horrible as that is its true).
Oh right. This is N4Helldivers, my mistake. I wanted to read about some other games.
Lmao I don’t seem to remember him ever catching a break.
I’m sure the support and franchise will live on due to its success. They may even keep some ppl and roll them into other studios. There are layoffs across the map tho in the game/tech industries in general tho including Sony, Facebook and more. My personal family has been affected by them.
Gamers: “we want Xbox to fail! Sales are down!! Woohoo!!”
Also gamers: “Xbox is evil, they’re shutting down studios that make games!”
And will have the power of a console from 2012
And we as gamers have to accept our role in that. Constantly never being satisfied. Constantly demanding more while paying less. Constantly demanding better frame rates, better graphics, more modes and faster faster faster…. Then review bombing the product when a demand isn’t met. Meanwhile those same demands are making games more difficult, complex and more expensive to create than ever before, on shrinking timelines that burn out employees and make their lives miserable.

lmfao.... pathetic.
You mad, bro?
Next up: Helldivers 2 devs occasionally snack and take bathroom breaks. Here’s 4 articles about it.
The elephant in the room tho is personal accountability. It’s easy (albeit basic) to blame the big, bad corpo, but microtransactions wouldn’t be where they are if gamers didn’t spend money on them. As it stands the MTs usually make more than the game. Publishers know raising game prices will cause backlash, so they do MTs to compensate. But the adult conversation is consumers determine the success of products with their wallets. So if MTs are a huge thing, it’s because we as consumers told th...
They should refund the money if they aren’t following thru. This game could have been so fun, but its still a complete disaster. No man’s sky, cyberpunk and even halo infinite (to a smaller degree) managed to make somewhat disappointing launches into pretty great games after the fact, but the radio silence on this game is deafening.
Fulfill it or kill it.
sucks but business is business. its not just about being profitable. that's def the goal, but the goal is also to remain profitable. and if the forecasts suggest that the studios will cost more than the profits they will make into the future vs operating costs etc.... you're in a delicate spot. indie shops still cost money to run and the reliability of profits vs operating costs vs future sales are things we as the public just aren't privy to. The last studio I worked at made Tita...
and that's why studios including son's camp are investing in games as a service.
"ruined the game"....
a bit superlative there. the game isn't "ruined", its got a bug. bugs can be fixed. when something is ruined, it is no longer usable permanently.. software is hardly permanent and can be fixed 100% of the time. so while it may be unplayable for some right now, and that's annoying, it isn't ruined... unless they leave it... which they obv won't.
they should also release it on xbox. this is just one of those games where it makes sense. I'm playing on the ps5, but have a ton of xbox friends who would love it.
Everybody wants Xbox to fail then gets mad at them when the lack of growth of its products/services lead to closures. I read the comments. Everybody hates on box and celebrates when sales hardware sales drop or when it ends up in 3rd place for that quarter. I’ve experienced the shit talking firsthand. Everybody celebrated gamepass growth slowing down… well. This is the other side of that. You can’t want Xbox to fail then be mad at them when that starts becoming a possibility. Time to be grown...
