MS by far, we got the frickin' Kracken while you all just had some nonsense game of the year contender about a grumpy old man throwing an axe around. Then we got a zombie game! the hottest thing going in pop culture right now! And what do you have to offer on the other side? Some japanese mafia game where all you do is run around and beat up random people, one enemy type, humans. same thing over and over. who wants to play a game where you just fight the same enemies over and over?...

Don't be too hard on yourself, I thought the same thing at first glance.
Yeah someone told me since I liked witcher, origins would be right up my alley. Assassins creed always struck me as a series I should be into but just never grabbed me. Syndicate in particular is one of my favorite settings for fictional tales, but just couldn't bring myself to give it a go.
It's one of those games I'd usually wait for a sale on, but I like dontnod, so i bought it full price. But yeah, game has issues. I don't remember a whole bunch of hype though, just the normal commercials and articles you get with any other game.
Haven't played origins yet, waiting on a $20 or less price tag. But it'll be the first assassins creed game I've played since dipping my toes into 2 and not finding it fun at all.

@rain, I get you. and like I said, proof is important. But we shouldn't be telling people to keep quiet unless they have proof. That is what ghost, i'm guessing inadvertently was pushing for. If you've been wronged, especially in a more serious way, you should feel comfortable coming forward, then the investigation can happen to find the proof. What you guys are pushing for works in this one case, but we can't say it applies for every case now.
We get it. the problem is that as it stands, we gamers are left completely at the mercy of companies to do GaaS right, where we get a fair shake if we enjoy and wish to keep playing a game. But for that to happen, we're looking to the likes of EA and Activision to take a balanced approach and not push everything towards making a buck. And I'm sorry but in the battle for gaming's soul, EA will have a much bigger role than CDPR. If you look at it, gamers are making tons ...
I agree with you quite a bit. I've been saying all along that it's about money. It was money when MS did it last gen and it's money now that Sony is doing it this gen. But allow me to point out another reaching point to go with your first. Isn't keeping multiplayer, MT and loot box filled games alive and relevant for longer going to help push the industry even further towards GaaS? If we buy fewer games because we only play one or two a year, wouldn't that give devs p...
It's more like #4trying to keep people from switching to PS4 but ok.

That's what it boils down to right there. "we don't trust sony's network", "we can't do it because of the kids.", both BS excuses. It boils down to the top dog not wanting you to buy the competition's product.
Really hope this sells well on xbox. The game deserves more sales and xbox deserves more japanese titles.

Though I will say it's becoming synonymous with multiplayer by leaps and bounds. even more so now than just a couple years ago.
@tobse, and what are your feelings on free to play games being locked behind xbl gold paywall? is that 4 the players?
Seriously dude, enough with the kiddy insults.
First they came for the COD players...
