I will be very surprised (stunned, actually) if LBP "flops".
I haven't played the beta, but just judging by the videos on the net and the praise from the people that have played the beta, it sounds like the game will live up to the hype.
*Having said that, I am a little worried about the controls. They look a little "floaty" to me, and I have even heard a few people that have played the beta suggest that the controls are indeed a little bit &q...
Why do people who own the Playstation 3 (of which I am one) act like it is on equal footing with the Xbox 360? IT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE!
I just picked up a PS3 a while back and to say that I have been underwhelmed would be an understatement. The main problem is the PS3's controller. That piece of crap was fine on the PS2, but after playing with the 360's (brilliant) controller, I really can't stand to go back to the Playstation controller...
I have a modest setup (Windows Vista, 2 gigs of RAM, 160 gig hard drive, Athlon 64 X2 1.9GHz dual core processor and a Radeon HD 2400 XT card) and I don't even know if it's capable of playing modern games.
With my consoles, I know that any game made for the system will play on it.
My copy of NHL 2K9 should arrive in the mail today.
The demo looked beautiful on my 360. Crystal clear and the colors really popped. The sounds in this game are awesome, as well. They really nailed the sound of players getting sent into the boards! I have a very nice 5.1 setup and when playing the demo at high volumes it really sounds like you are at the rink. Very cool.

My computer is hooked up to my HDTV and my home theater system, so it would be nice if it could handle modern games.
I can't help but laugh at the fanboys who poke fun at Too Human and then pat themselves on the back. The joke is on them, because they are missing out on an awesome game.
I have been playing games since the Atari 2600 and I can honestly say that Too Human is one of the most fun games I have ever payed (I'm a level 30 Champion/Human at the moment). All of this crap about the "bad story" and "bad gameplay" is just that, crap. The story is very we...
Not trying to start a flame war here, but I really don't see what you people are seeing. The graphics look very ordinary to me, and the gameplay is very rigid.
I think that people's desperation for AAA exclusives is making them see things that are not really there.
I'm sure the final game will be a lot of fun and look awesome, but acting like this video is a jaw dropper is just silly.
"Will it still be fun after the 346th level?"
Only time will tell.
I'm assuming that top rated levels will be showcased and easy to find, so it should be fairly easy to filter out the good from the bad.
I'm guessing that people will be creating awesome levels for a long time to come, but you never know...

VF34EJ35, I am going to keep my PS3.
I think people are reading too much into my post (my fault, due to the strong wording).
I want the PS3 to do well.
I think that LittleBigPlanet has the potential to be better than anything the 360 has to offer, and that is the main reason I will be keeping my PS3.
Having said that, I think the 360 AT THIS POINT IN TIME has the clear advantage in several key areas (AAA games, online and the control...
NipGrip, read my post and you won't have to ask anymore stupid questions.
HTH
This is crazy.

"PS Triple"
Hopefully that is the first and last time you call the Playstation 3 the "PS Triple".
I wonder if it will have rumble at launch? : /
Maybe I'm just ultra paranoid, but I don't trust sites like this.
I didn't read that long user agreement that they have, but something tells me that they will be snooping around my computer if I download their stuff.
Gears 2 is probably going to sell more in its first week than Resistance 2 sells in its entire lifetime. lol
I plan on getting Resistance 2 (it looks pretty cool) but saying that it will own Gears of War 2 is wishful thinking at its best.
Heldrasil, maybe if you cut back on the number of beers you consume in a day you will realize what an awesome deal this is.
Just a thought.
I usually play games before deciding how high I will rate them.
I agree that the game looks great, but declaring it a perfect 10 before you have even played it is a bit premature.
"7 Reasons Why I Wanted to Stop Playing Too Human"
*Please wait while I file that under "who gives a fvck?"*
Looks good.
I'm anxious to see some gameplay videos.
I'm one of those people, Dogswithguns.
