I don't think revealing to us the game's gameplay is going to spoil much, if not anything. But sure, to each his own. For me, I'd rather see something solid gameplay-wise at this point in time.

I strongly agree. I love Kojima, but the way the game flounders as (still) a mystery from a gameplay standpoint is kinda wearing my interest in it thin.

I get your point, it's just that Uncharted has established that kind of identity moving into the HD gaming era, that although it has always been the original Tomb Raider's approach, many people associate it more with UC.

I believe this is the main reason why Crystal Dynamics had to reinvent Lara as a serious, often murky, character. It's as if giving the rebooted Lara her old personality would put the devs in a position where they had no choice but to make an Un...

Go back to the wise-cracking Lara who actually liked raiding tombs for either personal or non-personal reasons. I know this approach is kinda like Uncharted's, but I believe there are ways to set her next game apart from Naughty Dog's beloved franchise without resorting to grittiness and super-serious story-telling.

People will always have something to complain about. I'm just surprised that we've gotten this far into the game that the game devs of this game haven't been flooded with "Where's my create a character screen? I should be able to play as a female! Or an elf with vampire wings!"

If you are patient with stealth-killing your average enemies and have mastered enemy attacks to deflect them effectively, then yes, you can safely say that this title is easier than Dark Souls.

Both Bloodborne and Sekiro are excellent FromSoftware titles. To me, they are two different experiences. On the one hand, we have Bloodborne--a badass game that melds fantasy and horror in a seamless package. On the other hand, we have Sekiro--a title that gives the action-adventure genre a nice jolt which works brilliantly in its favor.

I am down with this. That said, I would still want Sony to hold PSX at the end of the year for megaton announcements!

This is the only game that I enjoyed to such a degree that compels me to beg for some kind of playable DLC for it! Congrats to SSM and Cory!

I love green, so this one is a no-brainer for me!

DmC by Ninja Theory in my opinion was a little bit pretentious in its interpretation of Dante. I also found the combat to be clunky. The level design was kinda all over the place for me too. I thought the bosses were cool though. That said, even though I find the latest Devil May Cry a great return to form, I am not getting it--not because I dislike it, but because I am saving funds for Sekiro.

I got my attention focused on this game in April. I am liking the subtle features of the game so far.

DmC didn't pique my attention after trying its demo. I can't say the demo Capcom gave us for Devil May Cry 5 particularly impressed me, but at least it made me feel like it is a proper DMC game. I am just torn which between Devil May Cry 5 and Sekiro I will purchase in March.

I'm glad Tekken is still around. At least we have options--people who want jiggle has DoA; those who like a competitive fighter has Tekken. Personally, and I might receive flak over what I'm about to say, I think the sexiness level of DoA is what's keeping it from being seen as a real competitive fighter. Just my opinion.

In my opinion, the rebooted TR had several weak spots, Lara's characterization included, that really hurt the game past the first in the series. The "become the Tomb Raider" narrative that lasted THREE games overstayed its welcome. The rebooted Lara was interesting in the first game, but the subsequent ones didn't really evolve her into anything. And I also found her character boring through and through. The game to me just took itself way too seriously.

I thoroughly enjoyed Parasite Eve, though my first experience with it was the second game. For me, it blended survival horror and fantasy elements well. I wish SE has been encouraged by Capcom's latest remake effort in 2019's RE2 and creates a reboot of the series or simply a remake of the first two!

One can dream, right? Although I am as skeptical as the next guy Konami will "do it", I am quietly hoping they would.

If the tone and overall packaging of RE7 get to be RE8's tone and overall packaging, I want it to be in first person view.

I guess the RE3 remake and all subsequent remakes can keep to 3rd person view and from 7 until 9, first person, just so we can have an RE trilogy of sorts in first person perspective.

@-Foxtrot, I disagree that RE7 is not really an RE game--that it's only pretending to be one. RE7 has elements that honor the semi-open world design of the first and the progression system experienced in RE4. If RE8 does the same, and improves upon mechanics that work in an RE game, whether it's in 3rd or 1st person, I'm sold!

I thoroughly enjoyed RE7, though. I wouldn't mind Capcom making RE8 in FPV because of how I was surprised by RE7. I don't have a problem with an RE4 style camera, mind you, but RE7 just so clicked with me that it made me a believer in Capcom once again.
