Less advertising equals more first party games. I, like you guys, can't understand the rational of most people most of the time. Why, as a gamer, would I be upset about the lack of marketing? I hate marketing.

This is how Sony runs first party games. The first couple of weeks are growing pains for all games, but the PS3 was designed for many uses and this was one.

Exactly. I couldn't have said it better. Eloquence FTW. Is it me, or do all his comments make him seem like he is overcompensating or hiding something?

I just call it like I see it. I am not trying to help anything. I am simply pointing out the fact that a garbage article has promotional dressing. This is old news and in the entertainment industry timing is everything which makes things like this seem suspect.

Sorry but you fail. This is the GeOW "COG" logo that they used. They could have used any other image to represent the article and the writers supposed frustration but they didn't. Then logically you would deduce that he chose to use one of the games mentioned in the article and this is where percentages comes into play. Choosing from 1 of 3 images to represent said games leaves each game with a 33.3% chance of being selected. Then you factor in consoles and in jumps from 66.6% fo...

The irony here is the blatant Gears promotion through this article. This could have easily been written when the event actually took place, but instead they wait till both Gears and Resistance are about to launch and they use the Gears logo to represent the article. They could have used a LBP or Resistance image, or any other image for that matter, and statistically there was a 66% chance they could of, but alas math loses again and 33% wins.

Those reaver segments remind me of the Pegasus segments from "the" GOW2.

Blademask is right. It is just a marketing ploy to get all the morons riled up so they can sell more games. Companies spend money, websites get hits and gamers show their ignorance, it is a vicious cycle. It especially runs rampant on this site. Any review that has a number or letter attached to it is irrelevant. Video games are not quantifiable through arbitrary numbers.

That is pathetic. No wonder nobody takes games seriously.

I called it first that Fallout was going to bugged and broken on all platforms. Bethesda has a track record to keep and it seems I was right on the money. I wouldn't be to mad about it you all only paid 10 bucks for the game, the other fifty was paid for the hype.

Here is how you reduce the number of fanboys. 1. All reviews should be essay based and have no numerical score what so ever. Reviewers should have to prove their points, pros and cons, adequately and articulately. 2. All websites that get ad revenue from MS, Sony, or Nintendo should not be allowed to review games. This is a conflict of interest and in some industries is illegal. 3. Developers and publishers should be blamed, by all gamers, for bad ports or bad games not the systems. ...

If you don't like it sell it and quit complaining, it's that simple. I could write a book about all those "AAA" games that everyone likes but are really trash, but hey that's just my opinion. We already get this garbage from wannabe journalists but now we get it from wannabe wannabe journalists. How sad.

Why aren't these glitches reflected on the review scores? I would think that it would be the imperative of the reviewers to let potential buyers know everything about a game including glitches and have the score reflect accordingly. Why is it that Socom can be given sixes for sever side problems but Fable is given a pass, and what about those owners with arcades do they just have to live with the glitches?

From what I have seen of Alan Wake it borrows heavily from the movie IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS.

13 of my 18 ps3 titles are 1st party or exclusive with two more to be added by years end. If Sony went the way of MS, we would all be fighting over which half @assed 3rd party game looked better than the other, even more so than now, and we as PS3 owners wouldn't have as many exclusives. If MS wants to buy exclusives and exclusive content that's their prerogative, but in the long run it will hurt thier image more than it helps them sell consoles.

P.S. It also hurts the credibi...

Sorry dude but your wrong. It was actually made for the 360 then ported to PC and PS3.

5695d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Good catch. I imagine it's them trying to make up for OXM and OXM online scores of 6. So they can officially give their exclusives better scores but still maintain that thier multiplatform titles are superior to PS3 as well. It's a damn shame that the gaming industry has become so currupt.

Socomnick shows his inferiority. Perhaps next time his parents won't try and join cells.

On a lighter note, Fallout 3 is overrated anyway. Resistance 2 8 player co-op has better fps and rpg mechanics than Fallout 3 does.

If the Gears 1 ending didn't bother you, you should be alright with this one. I would say this one is a little better but not by much.

Yup, just picked up my copy at my local Walmart, but when they ring it up it says do not sell. They said the same thing happened with Fable 2 but at my Walmart they did an override and sold it to me anyway. I can see all Walmarts pulling the copies by morning, so good luck to those trying to snag a copy.
