"the game requires a 5 gigabyte, 10 minute install"

Oh no! Ten minutes! But that means that I actually have to find something to do with my time without someone telling me what objectives I need to follow!

Freakin' Heck! I just traded in this game too lol.

I agree. I used to be able to sit down for than a few mintes and be able to read the manual for the backstory of every main character, a good description of the most common enemies, a description of weapons, and the back story of the game itself.

Now all you get is basic controls, maybe a paragraph on the backstory and nothing else. I used to judge wether or not to buy a game based on what the manual said about the game, now I just have to play it.

I'm sorry but I do need to ask this questions as it is bothering me. How do you accidentally press down on the control sticks when you mean to press one of the buttons on TOP of the controller?

...but to me the delay sounds like someone played a record backward and heard the devil talking to them.

I played Conan. Was actually pretty excited about getting it too. But after the third level with no variation on the fighting, no real story elements, and no variety in the boss fight formula I just gave up and sold the game.

I find that the only games that I have ever played in multiplayer for any amount of time are games that I have really enjoyed the single player experience. Guitar Hero: Areosmith, Call of Duty 4,and Tiger Woods '09 are the only games that I have spent more than a few game in multiplayer and that is because I was able to fully enjoy the single player game so that i felt that i was ready to compete against other players.

Some games I have played seem to have a single player just ...

You don't start an article saying that it is about time that the PS3 started to copy the Xbox 360 and then claim that you don't want to hate the PS3. This guy is clearly a hater and doesn't want to look past the bridge of his nose in order to see things beyond his own narrow prejudices.

I wish I had $5 for every time that someone said that digital downloads will eliminate hard copies of anything. Isn't that what they said about newspaper when the internet became widely avaible?

I don't know about you but I am never going to buy into DD's as there are too many uncertainties related to it. When I buy a DVD I know that it will work because all I have to is put it into my player and turn it on. With DD's I have to make sure that I have enough memory, enough bandwi...

Not once is this guy blowing anything out of proportion, nor is he saying that people are putting their lives into their consoles hands. What he is saying is that there is a history with of fires and one death that can be traced to the XBOX. But, as of right now, there is at least one fire that can be traced to the XBOX 360. He is stating nothing but fact.

"Maybe its the fact that i have had a 360 for over 18 months with no issues. my brother has a launch console and its never...

Yes, it is a luxury item. Meaning that you spend money on it when you have extra money to spend. When you do that you still do expect that luxury item to do what it is supposed to do and not break down so easyily. The blog is pointing out exactly your indifference to this kind of shoddy craftsmanship. You spent your money on it. They refuse to hold up their end of the bargain by giving you a quality system for the money that you spent. Why are you not mad? Why do you turn it around by making ...

I played the game too. Found nothing beyond the controls of the boat to complain about. The boat seemed to only want to turn to the right, but only when I wasn't moving forward. Other than that there was nothing that made me wish I hadn't bought the game (except that it was so damn short).

Slightly factual to say that the Japanese should absolutly love a game just because it has a purple computer woman and the main character looks like a robot? Or to say that the Xbox should be the best selling system just because it has RPG's (let alone JRPG's) on it? This is lowest common denominator reporting based on ancient stereo-types.

So if this is slightly factual I should be able to say that because alot of Americans are overweight that health food should be the least p...

So your days are months long now?

This is the most racist and pretentious article I have ever read, anywhere. This guys seems to think that the Japanese only like to play JRG's. Why? Because they have the word Japan in them? Or could it be because they don't play the console that is popular in America?

That really does make those Japanese crazy because, as we all know, America is a mirror to the rest of the world.

And that bit abouth if there is a robot (or robot looking people) and cartoon wome...

The waste is not in the money. They are only doing their jobs and their job is to speak for the people. They are doing what they think the people they represent want them to do. The only problem is that the people they represent are uninformed and lazy. They don't want to pay attention to what their children are doing (for whatever reason) so they put that responsibility on the state which is then forced to waste money on legislation like this.

Another reason that the system can't change is because of bureaucracy. Everything needs a rubber stamp from ten different people before it will even be looked at be a senators intern. This even happens when the law has blatantly been broken. Just look at what happened in the 2000 election. Everyone knew that Bush illegally stole the election but no one wanted to say it, at least not be the first one.

5778d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

The way that the system is designed it is impossible for real change to happen unless everyone wants it. No one wants change to happen because they are comfortable with the way things are. Just listen to what people say, they want a free market but then they also want the products of that free market to be tightly controlled. The only way to get real change is for the whole system to be overhauled and restart from square one. But who has the courage or ingenuity to do that?

5778d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Are they still going on about this? Even if the law is passed and implimented correctly there will still be complaints about how violent video games are.

On top of that parents will still buy M rated games for their kids without knowing what they buying and then be appaled that such content is availabke to kids. When will people learn?

Besides, kids who have played more than a few video games know what they can handle anyways.
