@blackbeld
This is a stupid and racist article. Every single one of his points is punctuated by him saying some form of "this character would have been better if he/she was non-white." That is his entire argument.
The only game that even come close to "real" racism is Resident Evil 5. Even that game isn't that bad as almost everything racist is actually explained in the game, it doesn't make much sense but it is there. It seems to ...
Why doesn't anyone have the same problem with car models? Aren't they the booth babes of the car industry?
To what? Communism? Why is it that everything is a slippery slope to either a dictatorship or communism? What is Americans fascination with these things anyways?
The problem seems to be that there is no concrete definition of what is to be considered "violent" in the wording of the bill. As I understand it Sly Cooper and Duke Nukem could potentially fall under the same category if Sly Cooper is deemed "violent" enough.
What it come down to is that the law would have been very easy to manipulate while at the same time being almost impossible to fight against.
This is getting rediculus. By now, everyone should know that most DLC is made between the time when the game goes gold and te realease date. That time is sometimes as long as a few months. In that time programmers are still working on the game (in a very small scale) to find any bugs and other irregularities that may have been missed. Often the rest of the development team (if they haven't found other jobs) are just sitting around doing nothing for the developer, and that is very expensiv...
The demo for Uncharted is pretty easy to find. I'm sure the Gears demo shouldn't be much harder to find as long as you know where to look.
I just traded in Duke Nuken Forever and got $37 dollars for it. Don't know what is going on everywhere else but I have had nothing but good times with the two gamestops that I go to.
I don't know what the guy above me has been smoking but this is one of the most disjointed and badly paced blogs I have read in a while.
You jump from one topic to the next with no one idea leading into the next. In the first paragraph alone there are three topics that are not even spelled out, plus you throw in that you love cross game chat. What does that have to do with friend codes?
You need to better outline your thoughts and keep everything relevant...
If he goes to jail he becomes a martyr, Sony does nothing and hackers feels they can get away with anything. There is no middle ground.
That has got to be the stupidest most childish thing I have ever read, and I have been on this site for three years now. Especially if this is sarcasm, it jet reeks of purr insensitivity.
For taking such such stupid train of thought on such a serious issues I pray to any and all gods that your information is hacked and emailed to everyone with an address. Maybe then you will learn just how scary it can be to find out that there is no way to prove who you really are.
DRM exists because if it didn't shareholders would lose confidence in their investments. DLC exists to assure the shareholders that the developers are doing everything they can in order to maximize sales, if they didn't the shareholder would lose confidence in the developers.
Before any of you bash and criticize something at least try to imagine why it exists from a business standpoint.
To quote J. Jonah Jamison: "Slander, that absurd! Slander is spoken, in print it's lible."
Um, I have seen and heard things heating up, but never once has my life hotted up.
What are the penalties for owning a game that is banned anyways?
What?! Only 24 players? I guess I gotta cancel my preorder. /sarcasm
Actually that is probably exactly what happens. When I worked for blockbuster I had a chance to get my hands on new movis up to two weeks in advance of their street date and one week in advance for the games.
I buy a used ford and all the money goes straight to the person I am buying the car from, not the car company itself. Why isn't car production suffering from these "lack of sales"?
That sounds alot like the American governments "trickle down" theory. Give the rich more money and they will, in turn, make it easier for the poor to make money. That whole theory falls apart under common sense and a little understanding of what made them rich in the first place.
A good developer, like a good film maker, will make a high quality product as long as they have "just enough" money in order to complete their job.
@extermin8...
You know what I hate? When someone says something, anything (good or bad) and then tried to spin it by saying, "don't get me wrong."
It is okay if you have something to say and want to say it, even if it goes against what everyone else is saying. But don't lessen the impact by trying meet others halfway on it. If you didn't care about the topic you wouldn't have said anything in the first place.
Neither batman or creed would have been good for him. According to home he is an ADD gamer and mentally checks out after four or five hours. With an attention span that low it is nonsurprise he goes for the commercials instead of the full features.
