People seem to be forgetting that Sony is still making an assload of money from the PS2 (most successful console in history, and STILL selling well), PSP and they are slowly making money from the PS3.
Ain't no way they are going to be going bankrupt soon, ain't no way they are going to be pulling out of the console industry anytime soon.

2000 units really isn't "well behind".
Both HD consoles sold badly this week. The 360 should be shifting A LOT more units than what it has been in the wake of it's price drop.
It's not as though Sony are really bothered by their PS3 not selling that well anyway, the PSP going great (outselling the Wii) and the PS2 selling consistently well is mighty fine for them.

This is real guys.. I got the game yesterday in Australia.. finished it today after having not much else to do. Add my PSN (nathan_72) on an EU account to see my trophies.
I don't have a video recorder so i can't make it a video.. but i'm sure as more people get the game someone can take a decent copy of it.
All Kotaku every do is flame Sony on everything.. they lost their credibility years ago and are only staying afloat by keeping the 360 fanboys interested.
the 360 will still need at least 2 years of selling above the ps3 to even begin to battle for LTD sales in japan. and seeing as though MS can't lower the price on the consoles anymore, it ain't gonna happen.

Saw this game at E3 3 years ago and we have not seen anything since.
Will turn out to be an overhyped piece of crap like Too Human for sure.
No development team goes into hiding for 3 years unless they are told to go back to the drawing board.

Low sales because:
1) Most players didn't enjoy the game as much as they hyped it to be
2) Very late DLC. Should have been 3 months after release
3) No marketing. The average joe who bought GTA4 isnt going to know DLC is avail.
4) Cost. It's expensive
5) 75% of purchasers didn't enjoy the game. They aren't going to buy the DLC
