Replay value?
What are you talking about? How would you even go about co-op in God of War? What about MP? What the heck would you do there?
I mean seriously I wouldnt even look twice at a MP mode for God of War. The "replay value" argument is only valid so long as the MP is actually good and I dont see a way of making that on this game.

From a business perspective it was a stroke of genius. Nintendo is still making fine gems and personally I am excited about wii motion +. I WANT to play wii sports resort, cursed mountain, and silent hill later this year. I also cant wait to play new super mario wii.

Sorry pal, but MP maps have been free on the PC FOREVER. Making someone pay for MP maps is a STUPID F*CKING idea. It splits your userbase and creates even smaller pools of players. Not only that but you can hardly ever find a decent game with DLC maps. Its not a matter of cost its a matter of userbase, end of story.
Trust me, GG isnt working for free but if they want to add maps to the MP of this game they ought to add them for free. If not, well then just dont make them.
The biggest mistake a shooter developer can make is making people pay for DLC Maps. I am sorry it really divides the userbase and is generally a terrible idea. Either have your maps there to begin with or offer them free, like you know, PC games.

Meh, let them talk. I am sure PD is laughing in their studio. They know what they have and we know what they are capable of, it's only a matter of time.
Actually, when GT3 was released it had a similar install base and went on to sell something like 13 million units.
Personally, I dont think they are waiting for anything other than the completion of their product. GT games have always held a superb shelf life. The game will sell over the course of the ps3's life span and I wouldn't doubt a 13-15 million user base when all is said and done.

I couldn't have said it better myself. If we get it this holiday season that would be very cool. If we get it next summer that would be acceptable too. However, I do know this: when the game will be released it will be up the the standards of PD which are probably way higher than my own.
So, take your time and make it as flawless as possible.
