They pretty much said what I hate about Halo; its slow devolution. The first one was fantastic, the rest just got worse over time. 2 was by far the worst, 3 was like an apology for 2 but a realization that 2 had gotten the whole series so far into the sh*thole that it was impossible to make something to the standard of 1 again.

No. Upscaling sucks. Upscaling is when you render at a lower resolution, then STRETCH the size of the rendered images until they fill the upper resolution's pixels.
This isn't upscaling to 720p, it's RENDERING NATIVELY at 720p.
The character models look good. The terrain? Not so much.

There's no camera momentum/inertia effects. So apparently, according to GT5, the driver's head remains PERFECTLY STILL the ENTIRE time, even when braking/accelerating/SLAMMING INTO OBJECTS, and the car doesn't rumble when you're driving at fast speeds. Uh, sorry. NOT immersive. In fact, that's probably the one thing that breaks immersion the most. If I don't feel like I'm in a real car, then it doesn't bloody feel like it's a sim.
If this is just a problem stemming from the game ...
Trilogy means the three numbered games. Reach, ODST and Wars are all spinoffs. It's still a trilogy. With a bunch of extras!
It's kinda like the Star Wars thing they got going. They have two trilogies. Then everything else is the expanded universe, most of which is canonical. Reach, ODST, and Wars all play roles in that expanded universe. But the six Star Wars movies are still considered parts of two different trilogies.
