Anyone else reminded of MGS Peace Walker and Portable Ops? This is a really attractive way of doing cutscenes. I love it.
Uh. Okay then.
I think it's fantastic. Us collectors get some really amazing stuff to showcase in our rooms. They have a ton of personality, look incredible on display, and when they're done really well, they sort of make the fictional world come to life in a way. They make it more personal.
For example, Halo: Reach's collector edition has Dr. Halsey's diary. I realize it's just a little booklet, but for someone who's read all of the books and fallen head over heels ...
One thing that stands out to me in this preview is how Totillo put a little focus on how the story's going to unravel in this game, which honestly surprised me. Despite its stellar graphics and gameplay, I found myself pretty disappointed with Killzone 2's story, script and characters, and I doubt I'm the only one. I'm pretty sure KZ2 would have sold much more if the in-game universe had more depth, but the Helghast conflict just doesn't strike me as very compelling as it ...
Even its brand power is lacking compared to Star Wars. By a long shot. Metal Gear, Halo, and Warcraft are far, FAR more recognizable and iconic than Call of Duty will ever be.
@Cevapi: I'm pretty sure it's happened before. Apparently Gryffindor and Slytherin were best friends, so I'm sure the relations between the houses used to be really close at one point.
Harry and Draco, on the other hand, is just weird. For starters, they were never close. More importantly, they were never gay.
*sigh* Fangirls.
I'm kind of glad I held back. This would so totally be mine, but my biggest beef is that it comes with the game. I already preordered the game, wtf am I gonna do with a second copy?
@Sleipnir: If you think flamebait is funny, you've got a really bad understanding of what makes a good sense of humor. Either that or you're just an idiot.
@moarful99: You say that like it goes only one way. Newsflash, back when the PS3 came out, the 360 did a lot of things the PS3 didn't too. They're pretty damn evenly matched now, but you have to be joking yourself if you think you can make the claim that the PS3 was superior at launch.

I know, right? wtf. Call of Duty doesn't have a vast (figurative) universe with lore spanning millions of years. Unless you count IRL history. And that doesn't count.
It also doesn't have feature films, TV shows, hundreds of expanded universe books, hundreds of games, scholars academically analyzing it* for symbolism and literary devices, and a point in time where its most iconic features could be seen everywhere in the world. It doesn't have a massive array o...
Right here is proof that fanboys are hypocrites. They call other people educated yet show absolutely 0 signs of themselves being educated.
I mean, look at your insult. You fanboys must be proud to have him on your team, right? Because it's so incredibly hard to come up with such a clever, insightful argument like that.
Well you know what?
"I, conversely, feel proud of educated people."
Ooh, look look at me, I co...
While they didn't actually cite the facts, at least the facts are in line with their statement. That's better than nothing, though yes, they still have no excuse.
Journalism at its finest?
Like Sony who ripped off Xbox Live, Apple who ripped off Walkman, Nintendo who ripped off PlayStation, and every other major tech company in existence.
It. Fucking. Happens. And no one's innocent of it. Fucking deal with it.
Play through Beatles: Rock Band and you will know why. There are a ton of things in there that you would not find had they simply released the Beatles songs as a track pack.
Here's a fun fact for all you brilliant people out there.
A pistol does not take a fifth of a second after the trigger is pulled to spit out a bullet. That is not weight. That is not inertia. That is just stupid. And anyone who thinks that is "realistic" has got to either be kidding themselves or drinking Sony Kool-Aid, then pissing it out into a jar labeled "Manna of Life" for later consumption.
If skill can overcome all control desig...
I have to ask. I really do.
This comment looks like it's directed at someone. Yet I see no mention of this "SMH" you mention.
Who the hell are you talking to?
btw, to everyone who keeps citing the 360 as not having a browser, it does. It's accessible through the Media Center interface.
Do your research.
Saboteur isn't going away. It's getting moved to another developer so they can prep it for release. That's what the guy means by "being sent to die".
What last game would that be? Because I'm pretty sure this is the only game being transferred over from one studio to another following a studio closure, thus I can't think of any previous games in Pandemic's portfolio that was "sent to die" by EA...
I'm glad Halo 2 was on that list. Halo 1 was wonderful, and Halo 2 completely ruined it.
@NecrumSlavery: Hello? In development? If it's not cancelled and it's not here, the only logical explanation is that they haven't finished making it. Unless you have a better one; I'm all ears.
