MS didn't promise a bunch of games for the reveal. In fact they labeled it the future of entertainment. Not the future of gaming. And made very clear statements the games would not be big at the launch. Personally, I avoided the launch presentation but very much enjoyed the Architecture Panel discussion afterwards.

I love Nintendo, but I think they are better off making their games for Xbox and PlayStation and forgetting about living room hardware.

Nintendo chose to ignore third party needs and this is what happens.
Nintendo will either become another Sega or they will be gobbled up by Sony or Microsoft. Certainly they would be desirable from an exclusives point-of-view. Sony or MS gets Nintendo and that would be the difference this coming generation.
Lot's of quality games. Last Guardian stands out the most... The other games are a mix of new ips, sequels, and new ips on updated game engines...
Doesn't really convince me that I need a PS4 on day one. Last of Us, Beyond, and GT6 are all PS3 games...

I have been completely satisfied with the games content that MS and Sony provided me this generation...
MS started the gen a year earlier and the 360 architecture held up for the gen pretty solidly. For the first three years MS had the superior content.
Sony game along a year later and its architecture was difficult to work with but I have to credit them with making it work and hold up solidly. Sony has won the past...

Internet DRM is inevitable. People better start wrapping their heads around it on all consoles and the PC...

I went through a lot of anguish with this one. I have over 1,800 Xbox 360 games and over 100 PS3 games... I want to finish them all and I don't want to switch between a ton of electronics...

Windows is the most complete OS on the market today. Best is a personal preference. There are no measures that you and I can agree to to measure for the "best" OS...
Some people value efficiency, some compatibility, others functionality, others hardware support, etc... Best OS depends on how you are using it and what you are using it for...

Yes, MS got caught as illegally bundling IE with the OS... By the way, how many OS's do not have browsers bundled today? Seems kind of moot... No one would dream of buying a phone OS, tablet OS, or PC OS without a browser now. That was a witch hunt just like the current Google witch hunt at the EU....

I will get both consoles because I always have and always will.
The devts... AAA games cost about $100 million to build... That means you have to sell probably about two million copies to break even (promotion, advertising, devt, admin, etc.). Not too many games claim those type of sales.
I'm not against consumer rights, but when you constantly see devts closing like they have, something has to change to make the industry a little more viable... Pandemic, Bizzare, Ensemble, Volition, etc. were all good studios that paid the price bec...

MS is just putting a mechanism in place to ensure (probably) publishers and console makers get a take on the used games market...
GameStop will give you a few less dollars for each used game and maybe charge you a couple dollars more to make up the difference. People don't trade games because they like to, they trade games because they are financially forced to and any dollars they can get for that used game is ...

MS is hated because it is a very aggressive company that is relentless and well funded in their business pursuits...
MS is loved because their products are highly integrated with each other and provide value adds that their consumers want.

You obviously have not played or know Forza. The main Forza series (3 and 4) is already 60 FPS.
Only Forza 2 and Horizon on 360 is 30 FPS.
Forza is the best racing simulation on the market today, and there is no reason to believe it will be any less on X1.
