@HammockGames Racing games and shooters are reasonably playable however action/adventure and sports games can be tricky. Fifa is incredibly unplayable especially on a higher difficulty when you need to use all the tools at your disposal to win.
@reallynow think it uses the touchpad on the back of the vita which is usually assigned as either R1+L1 or R2+L2 on most remote play games so even if the buttons weren't configurable it would still circumnavigate the need to use the touchpad.
This can only be a good thing =) I was frustrated that there wasn't a similar option for the 1000 when they originally announced the 2000 model
I hope we can play using discs because I very much doubt that the games that I'll want to play will be made available on the store as the weren't on the PS3.

@PEaSFor I know it's 'Horses for Courses' but I would expect a 'big hitter' to convince someone to buy a console. I for one wanted a vita for Killzone and Uncharted.

Even still considering the increased power of the PS4, the idea that to achieve 1920x1080 60fps developers would have to revert to PS2 level graphics is completely ridiculous.
I can possibly imagine PSVR games to lower the graphics to near that level but I'm sure even those games will look on par with PS3 titles.
Hyperbolic at best. GT6 on PS3 ran at 1080p and 60fps so of course PS4 could run 1080p 60 fps games at at least PS3 standard. Mention of PS2 is ridiculous.
However you are correct in pointing out the importance of graphics and to add to that scale because rendering many objects on screen is no easy feat just look at the state of Unity.
The connection argument is not invalid because of your experience what a ridiculous thing to say. My personal experience has been that even the most slight knock of the Xbox controllers can cause it to disconnect and if it wasn't in sight of the receiver then like television remote it simply didn't work.

@rmw2hot Nice avatar! Killzone 2 was a great multiplayer game. TBH i've had good and bad experiances with dedicated servers and generally speaking they do a good job with matchmaking as supposed to p2p(TLOU's matchmaking was nightmarish). What I will say however is that Battlfield, Planetside and other shooters with DS do not eliminate lag in fact my experience has generally proved to be poor.

For me the choice of infra-red over Bluetooth is an odd one. Bluetooth provides a much stronger signal that is better suited in situations whereby there maybe objects in between the controller and the receiver and in my experience never drops a signal.
Also in addition to that it also allows for better compatibility with other devices whereby an official adapter isn't required to be purchased and also works with mobile devices such as tablets and mobile phones.
I don't know who they hire as network admins and I don't like to be too critical but an inability to make simple database changes or even provide a friend notification system can't really be considered acceptable for a company of the stature and standing of Sony especially considering the quality of the hardware engineering.
Might as well get them from the web store rather than turn on your ps3. It'll save you from having to use the store on the ps3 which can be painfully slow.

The game does a lot of things but nothing's done phenomenally well. The driving is definitely not phenomenal neither is the combat and the story is well crap and all three of the characters are detestable. The open world is impressive in scale but California again? Really?

Not many 3rd person games can boast better shooting. Honestly Vanquish had great gameplay but really how many great 3rd person shooters are there? Battlefront sticks out and maybe gears of war but if you think of other blockbuster titles such as Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect the combat isn't their strong points.

Day after my Birthday. Personally looking forward to Mirror's Edge the most although Far Cry and Deus Ex are also on my watch list.
Hopefully they give us some more information on some of the PSVR titles. Personally I'm really interested to hear more about 'The London Heist' and to understand just how many resources have been and will be allocated to the production of present-day and future PSVR titles.
