Jim isn’t just making all the decisions regarding acquisitions. There Would have been discussions on who they would acquire. Also if you have been following the Activision acquisition case, you would know that Sony weren’t just sitting by letting MS acquire them.
People who think Sony are just going to change plans because he’s retiring are in for a huge disappointment. He left the PlayStation doing better than they ever have. That’s what board members and shareholders care to see. They have a 6 month plan for him to help ease the transition before his retirement for that reason.

What are you talking about? Are you referring to MS going forward with the deal despite the FTC from yesterday? Well today that has changed because what everyone once thought was a sure approval from the CMA is no longer the case. MS is definitely NOT going forward with the deal.

Just really a matter of supply issues. Most of the Xboxes being sold are the Series S since they have way more in stock than than actual Series X and PS5’s. Casual consumers will buy the only thing that’s actually available on shelves and thus MS benefits from this.

At this point, antitrust laws are dead. MS has been in American politicians pockets for years. Even if they made everything exclusive to Xbox, this deal would have been approved regardless. Disney buying Fox was the litmus test, and now every big name company has free reign with these consolidations...
