This game looks really cool! I wonder how it will stack up to the best RTS of all time (I'm talking of course about StarCraft WOOT!) 1998 FTW! (BTW I still have fun playing SC!)
They only need a DVD with 715 layers! (3500GB/4.9GB=714...+) No but really.... That's a lot of stuff.
I've been waiting for something like this for a while. Good to hear it works with the AIM service too. It's just too bad that I won't be able to use it much as my campus has a VPN server and I've yet to find a VPN client for the PSP. Someone should be working on THAT!
I have Ubuntu on my PC (dual-booted with windows) and Yellow Dog on my PS3 and I love it. I runs really well and yes, the best thing is that it's all FREE!!! The only thing wrong with it is that it lacks many good games/programs. Good thing Unreal Tournament III will support it! Also, I'm pretty excited for KZ2, but that's still a long way off..... I'd really like a demo please!
Some people defiantly take this RROD issue and make it seem worse than it is. However, I also believe that having a failure rate of 33% is just ridiculous (it's one of the highest if not THE highest failure rate of a major consumer electronic in some time.) It's bad enough that there would have been a mandatory recall, but MS decided to just fix them all for free. That was a good move, both in terms of customer relations and public image, but it costs them a sh1t-load of money. That is a...
Clearly, you come here just to spam and other users are as annoyed at having read your comment as I was (judging by your bubble count). Here's hoping you can understand the gravity of your idiocy. The 65nm chips are going to run cooler and hopefully reduce the RROD. Peace.
If this means less RRsOD then I'm all for it. If anyone waiting was waiting for a truly reliable 360 this might be the one. Lets hope that MS takes action to replace the rest of the SKUs with 65nm. The only thing I don't understand is why they didn't do this earlier! WHY?!?
Electrobolt. Anyway... glad it didn't actually happen.
STFU already... This isn't about a specific console... this is about mentally unbalanced people who are in need help but go undiagnosed and uncared for. How anyone can mistake a game for reality is beyond me, but if games keep coming up as excuses for murder, there are seriously sick people out there.
I'm sick of analysts and their stupid predictions....... Though if true, it would make many people happy.
Good call bro.
People need to cool their jets. :p
O RLY? You can sit on a couch and play on a big TV at a LAN party? Not so much (though I suppose it's possible).
@ Mars: I've only seen you rant and rant and rant. No constructive comments at all. Welcome to my ignore list.
It's a pity that it won't come to PS3 (if this is true) but it's okay because I got the game for PC and it's way good. I just wish I had more time to play it. Anyway for all of you PS3 people out there that were wishing (like me) for this to come to your console, just get it for the comp. It's totally worth it!
I have no Xbox360, and I do have a PS3. Some of you other Sony fans may not like Halo that much or even at all, but please... you don't have to shout "Halo Sucks!" from the hilltops. Just enjoy the games you already have... (you do have some don't you?) The appeal of Halo for me is to sit down with a bunch of friends on a couch in front of a large TV and blow each other's brains out. You simply can't have the same experience on a PC, which is a one-person machine. Sure you can ...
I agree that including blu-ray in the PS3 hurt sales in the short run by delaying its release date and making it more expensive, HOWEVER, it will be very beneficial in the long run as games begin to NEED more space for bigger levels/textures/ect... Personally I think blu-ray was a good move, but with less than stellar execution.
The main reason for the criticism of Microsoft was that they released the "Premium" 360 with all the bells and whistles and they also released the "Core" 360 which didn't even have a hard drive. This limited developers at the time to purely streaming data off the DVD. In the new (and old) PS3 SKUs, all of them include a blu-ray drive and a hard drive for developers to work with. They are merely taking out "luxuries" like the card reader, emotion chip, and wif...
These guys rule. They are totally committed to making great games and I haven't been disappointed by them yet. They take the time to learn the hardware and make their own engines specifically for their games. Their first attempt on the PS3 is indeed a AAA title despite what some may say, and ToD looks to be following the same path to greatness. You can never really tell until you play the game, but I have no reason to suspect anything less than an awesome experience. Way to go Insomniac!...
I don't know why anyone would buy a next gen console without an HDD... It's pretty much neccessary nowadays. This is just a rumor of course, but if they did drop the core completely, i think it would be a good choice. Stick with the Premium and Elite!
