I expect to see lots of phony stories (more than normal, that is). Hopefully we can all have a good laugh at some of them.
That point about blu-ray is a good one. Perhaps they may come to an agreement.... Or they'll fight to the death. Either outcome will provide entertainment of some sort.
I find it extremely hard to believe that StarCraft was originally slated to be a Star Wars game.... Anyways, it is infinitely better than any Star Wars game ever made.
I want to see a video of someone playing this game. Better yet, I would love to play a demo myself. Anyone know when this is supposed to be released?
I love Gran Turismo, but I can't stand the indestructible cars. To me, damage is so integral with racing that a simulation which excludes it is missing a huge piece of the puzzle. I would gladly sacrifice a few polygons to have realistic damage, and I think that is where this game is headed. Hell, burnout looks really good and the crashes are stupendous.
I think one of the devs at polyphony said that they wouldn't do damage until they could do every aspect of it realistically. ...
If you watch his console rundown, it's both hilarious and accurate (for a few months ago) and he doesn't show much bias for any particular system. As for this most recent review, it wasn't nearly as funny as some of his other ones. Also, I get the impression that he's not very good at FPS games (at least on console. He seems to be (and indeed even states so) a PC gamer at heart. Funny guy, accurate reviews (for the most part), but take them with a pinch of salt for his preferred gaming st...
I seem to remember this one coming up on a "worst games ever" list. Check out the PC review.... http://pc.ign.com/articles/...
Horrendous.
Though I have been waiting for this update, It's really not a big deal that they are taking more time. After all, they are doing this on their own time for the benefit of us all. Plus DAX is the best so I trust that he'll do it right!
Edit: Oops, this wasn't supposed to be a reply.
This game looks kickass, and I'm always happy to hear more about it. I kinda prefer the medieval setting of the Elder Scrolls, but this will undoubtedly be an awesome experience nonetheless. I trust Bethesda's mad RPG skillz.
I can't agree about the Gamerscore though..... If anyone is compelled to play games to boost their Gamerscore, they are a sad person.
I killed someone's entire army with only observers once.... it was awesome! Totally caught them off guard. Seriously though, they need to update the Zerg some now.
SC and SCII FTW.
Last gen, over a hundred million units were sold (I don't know the real number but it's a ton), and so far the 360 and PS3 together have sold, what, like 20 million? We still have a long way to before all the fans of last gen finally adopt a new console. Many people are holding out for more games or a better price point. It is still VERY early, and you can't make assumptions just yet. You definitely can't say "OMGZ HALO 3 IS TEH PSGAY KILLAR!!!" Only when sales get close to las...
You're right, it is. I think this might be a European list? The site is definitely not in English.....
@disagree: DAMNIT! What are you bastards disagreeing about?!?
This is, of course, only one person's idea... but Microsoft is exceedingly notorious for being a bully in business. They treat everyone like crap (even their best and "most valued" developers.) Case and point: Bungie. This is why I've never been fond of M$; they just don't care about anything but their money. This isn't to say that other companies aren't the same way, it's just that M$ has massive control issues.
Free-reign Bungie is good for everyone! The future looks exciting.
Who else is sick of analysts?
I like Linux a ton, and I've been really fed up with the piece of sh1t that M$ has dubbed Vista. If everything ran on Linux, the world would be a better place. I agree with the article about the whole political thing.... taking a stand against the monopolies that M$ and Apple have formed. Plus.... it's free! (Or damn cheap). Linux FTW.
@ snoop: Yes, I agree about the compatibility issues and that stems from there being so many Linux distributions instead of a couple. The...
No.
Are they serious? That is just sad.
