I'm just here to complain about your f**ked up ads on N4G. It's worse than ever. If I start to scroll down, the entire page fades into some stupid car ad and there's nothing I can do about it except scroll back to the top which fades back to the N4G page. Fix your G*d Damn ads!!

I have an ultrawide monitor that is as tall as a 27" monitor but wider. Even at ultrawide it's still not big enough for me to even have to move my head. I sit at about 1.5 ft away
That's a misconception that you have to play on a large tv. What matters is the distance from your eyes to the screen. That's where screen size matters. The average viewing distance sitting on your desk chair to your PC monitor is between 1.5 to 2 ft away which doesn't require a large tv to see the 4k res in all of its glory. For optimal 4k res viewing at 1.5 ft away, it's a 27" screen. At 2 ft away, it's 32" screen.
The AC series has never been a very high scoring game. The score of an 8 is similar to the scores with the past games between a 7.5 to an 8

The games graphics were impressive, but that's due to a few design choices like making the game set in a letterbox aspect ratio. 30 fps helped too, but back in the gen console gamers didn't mind 30 fps unlike this gen. The black bars are not using any resources for rendering. The devs said it's for cinematic effects, but that's bs

I'm pretty certain A.K.I is actually F.A.N.G's apprentice. In his story during the events of Toxicity, F.A.N.G ended up taking on a female apprentice that he refers to as "Phantom." Her real name was never revealed. This was after Bison was defeated in the SF5 story. F.A.N.G is a master of the poison hand kenpo, and you could see that A.K.I also uses a technique involving her nails also laced in purple like F.A.N.G. The only thing they ripped off from TLOU is the nearly identical image of Ellie who follows you, but in a very dumb AI way. Basically she just stands around until all zombies in the area are killed. Everything else is generic and complete trash for a game
720 resolution actually looks pretty good on a Steam Deck screen like with games like FF15 and MGS5. If it can achieve that resolution at 40 FPS for R&C, that would be great. A hint of what a PSP 3 could be like
I have not been a Soul Calibur player since the Dreamcast days. When I look back at this series, I think about the movie theater I went to as a teen which had the arcade game there with cabinet volume set pretty high... "Sooo-Calibur"
PC VR is pretty much crawled back to being a niche thing for people who are into sims and the one-off VR mod conversions. Meta Quest will be what it is which is low graphic fidelity games. Let's hope Sony and supporting 3rd party developers create something similar to the quality of HL: Alyx

Yes, I agree it's still king, but that's because the competition has been lacking. Aside from a few exclusives like Spiderman 2, R&C:RA, and FF16, where are the damn games?? There are big hits like Elden Ring, but that's not an exclusive. Then you have cross-generational games that ported over from the PS4 or some remastered games. We're 3 years in to the generation cycle now
It was a very well developed game and a solid 9.5, but calling it Sony's game of the century is going too far. I actually enjoyed Uncharted 2 for its era more than TLOU
I feel like there's a lack of games that blew me away when compared to the PS3 era. It was a giant leap from visual impact, gameplay, and more coming from the PS2 to the PS3. TLOU, Uncharted, MGS4, KZ, etc could never be possible on the PS2. With the PS5 compared to PS4, the games are similar, but with higher res and framerates
