Something as simple as a jumping ability can make a difference. I hope jumping stays in the future is Souls games
I'm disappointed in the subpar haptic feedback on Elden Ring compared to Demon Souls remake. I hope a future patch improves this. At first I thought there was something wrong with my controller. Then I read a reddit post where people had the same experience. The haptic effects in DS was amazing. The clanking of sword against the wall or shield felt like actual metal hitting a hard object. I miss that effect.... feels hollow. Haptic feedback is still there, but it's very limite...

8 is a fine score. As a fan of the Souls games, I was already committed to buying and playing the game. A score lower than 7 would make me question the reviewer if it's an outlier score. However, that's just one person's opinion
That's great and all, but this isn't 10 yrs ago when polygon counts were still impressive. Video game car models reached a realistic level more than a decade ago. Remember Project Cars? What really makes a racing game life-like in visuals are the correct lighting and shadows. For example, a 480p video of a real race is easily distinguishable as real even though the image quality is low

Yes! Facebook is leading the charge and they have a grand scheme to do exactly what you stated. Behind the veil of what's cool and interesting about VR is a more dark engineered plan for control

MS is making big moves. They could continue to play the my team vs your team like how consoles rivalries have been for the last 30 yrs and sit comfortably in 3rd place, or try to evolve into grander things. I'm not saying I like this move, but when you have Facebook trying to be primarily owner of the Metaverse and pushing really hard at it, the business outlook and vision for other large corporations have to evolve in some form
