Its not well known, but I know when Naughty Dog was attending gaming conventions, they often times would hand out DLC gift cards for Uncharted 3, even though it was yet to be released.

For attending their PAX East 2011 Panel I got a DLC code for a PAX exclusive Drake model.

Its entirely possible that the on-disc DLC is the fan DLC that isn't available for purchase, such as the con specific skins.

That, is actually something MS is rumored to be cracking down on in the near future.

Unless you ordered somewhere that gives you a non manufacturer copy of the OS, you can not transfer the OS legally. Most store-bought PC's have OS keys that work exclusively with the stock motherboard they ship with.

So no, the OS price needs to be added.

That's if this isn't your first "built" system. If you buy a store-bought computer, the license is not transferable, and actually the key will only work for that specific motherboard more often than not.

The cost of the OS and other hardware should truly be added into the cost of the system in these "budget build" articles.

Except WoW was pretty mediocre when it was first launched. WoW was a case of being in the right place at the right time, not being far and away better than everything else out there.

For what its worth, there are actually very few cars that look anywhere near that bad. The white one in particular looks like an old texture that slipped through.

Image is the white car in-question next to another standard car of the same body and type.

No, something more like these.

NASCAR is a horrible example since, first and foremost, they have terrible undertray usage due to the rules, which is why so much effort is put into the bodywork shape.

Ever heard of an undertray?

Most race cars have flat bottoms.

Ugh, you have so much wrong with that comparison its not even funny.

Lets just say, take a look at shader figures again, and remember that the PS3 does not have unified shaders...

Also, remember the bus on the RSX...

I don't intend to be harsh, but that's the way technology works. People really need to get over this attitude. Nobody is making you purchase a console, and nobody is making you purchase a console at a specified time and price.

You have the PAL 60 Gig, which has the same internal components as the US 80 Gig, which is not affected by the freezing glitch. Its a small subset of the 20 and 60 Gig North American systems that are having the problem.

5840d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

And I have a launch 60 gig PS3 and my system hasn't run GTA IV for more than 2-3 minutes before freezing. Clearly, there's something going on here that you don't know about.

Want to admit that you're wrong, and that there IS something affecting certain PS3's? Or would you like to go back into my post history and look at all the times I've defended Sony, LOL.

5843d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

I have a launch PS3, manufactured in Oct 06, and I have this freezing problem. Many of you people claiming "I have a 60gig and it works perfectly" should look at the manufacture dates. It seems like the early early early PS3's are the ones having the problems due to different chip architecture.

But I will say this, the story is true. I'm glad that Sony are planning to release a new firmware, since I've been unable to play GTAIV since release.

5843d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Actually, you're incorrect.

The PS3 does AF considerably better than 360. The old CoD4 comparo shots are an excellent example.

The RSX is actually better at Pixel Shading that the Xenos as well. Xenos is better at vertex shading, but the RSX was never meant to handle that, it gets offloaded to Cell.

5922d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Actually, no. Since PS3 will be lead platform, games will play to the strengths of that platform, namely, the better texture filtering processing power.

So if anything, games ported from PS3 to 360 will be lesser than their PS3 original.

How did you see it last week? It was posted on vgchartz yesterday?

I actually don't think Big Boss was a villain anymore than The Boss was. Its even more telling that Big Boss knew exactly what was going to happen thanks to the phrophecy in MG:PO.

Maybe he planned it so that his son "Snake" would have to be the one to stop the Patriots, since he was too old.

You go-on about how its pointless to make future assumptions, then make a future assumption. Your logic appears to be tragically flawed.

Just as easily, one could also claim that the PS3 will be selling 37% more weekly. So if we assume PS3 will sell 37% more of last year's 360 sales, the time drops. If we use a time corrected PS3 scale, it drops even further.

From my understanding of it, there's a law in Australia that if a product is "unfit for sale" then the retailer that sold it must replace it, or face possible legal action.

This is where the problem is. EB had to replace the systems under law, and MS isn't replacing the damaged stock since they weren't the ones who sold them. The different law is what's causing the problem, not the extended warranties.
