Looks very similar to SFIV to me, but that's in comparison to the other next-gen fighters currently on the market.

Dead or Alive and Tekken have the same graphics style, so does Virtua Fighter, and Soul Calibur isn't much different.

Regardless, this new game looks phenomenal, and is getting me very excited to hand over more cash to capcom :) They are my favorite Japanese game company by far.

I'd put 3 of those games on my "5 worst games to play drunk" list. Drunk people with Rock Band just leads to worse vocals that hurt your ears, and MW2 and SF IV are waaaay to intense and competitive for a mind-numbing drug, you would just get your ass handed to you.

There are plenty of gamers out there who are old enough to drink, and the ones who aren't all will be someday, so this applies to a lot of the people on here.

And if you think an article is going to make people drink, do you also think violent games will make them kill people? Or that rock and roll will make turn them to devil-worship? Or that dancing is a sin?

If you want a PC environment, go to the PBS website.

The hours I spent knocking people off ledges in Smash Bros. while drinking... I wish the stats page could keep track of that one for me!

But I have been really really pleased with Blur, so I hope it does well. This game is so well put together and seems so polished, and the replay value is really high.

It's too bad there isn't more depth to Split/Second, the idea and execution look fantastic.

It also sucks that these came out at the same time, I wish one had come out last fall when I was getting sick of waiting for a decent street racer.

Split/Second had me more excited over the past year, by a long shot. I didn't expect to even give Blur a try...

But then I played the Blur beta, and the Split/Second demo. Was really really impressed with Blur, which seemed like an actual next-gen Mario-Kart-esque street racer. Went with Blur myself.

Although I might still give this a try somewhere down the line.

That was a Spartan, yes, but it was NOT Master Chief. It was some other spartan, a chick named Nicole. So close to MC, but not quite...

and as we all know, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Well they already had a knock-off of Master Chief in Dead or Alive 4, called Nicole I believe. That was by far my favorite character in the game so... if having the actual MC in a fighting game is anything like that it'd be cool.

I could see Soul Calibur doing it, they always do console-specific promotional characters. Like the 360 version of SC 5.

I absolutely hated Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, so I'm not touching the original.

But Crazy Taxi I might try if its cheap

I'd still prefer a good ol unrealistic fighter like Soul Calibur or Smash Bros...

only realistic fighting game I like is Fight Night

I haven't gotten through most of Fallout 3, moved a little too slow for me so far, so I have yet to get really into it. If Fallout Vegas isn't as good or better, I don't see myself getting into that one either.

But still, this is an interesting preview.

There was a ton of good stuff in the Collector's Edition book, the Files. Maybe they'll make the contents available online sometime, or make the book available for purchasing.

For now, articles like this should explain what's in the book that relates to the game's unanswered questions.

It's a mysterious game, the devs WANT us to all think about it, wonder about it, and most importantly talk about it. That's why they left some things unsolved.

And to anyone who's doing just that, trying to puzzle out some of the mysteries, the Alan Wake Files are really helpful, which is what this article analyzes.

Playing as Emperor Zurg might be fun for like, 10 minutes, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it superior.

Woody and Buzz are where it's at, no question there.

I'll have to see how the game pans out, but at this point, I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Sounds like the game is decent but not great, but at only $1 I guess why not try it? Thanks for the frank review.

I play every game on Normal first, because that is often the default setting as set by the developers. I want to experience it the way they expected most people to play it. Also, for my first playthrough, I want to enjoy the story, the level design, the graphics and sound, etc. Be able to fully experience and appreciate everything.

Then after beating it on Normal I usually replay on Very Hard or Expert or whatever, so that I can test my chops and see if I'm up to the chal...

Yeah, there are different types of gamers out there, and the different difficulty settings allow them to experience the games the way that they want to.

The coolest thing is games that let you set different difficulties for different players, so a serious, challenge-seeking gamer like myself can play with casual gamers like my dad and my gf.

Rock Band and Gears of War are 2 that come to mind. I can play expert guitar, while my gf does drums on medium. I can p...

That new suit looks pretty badass. But then again, so do the necromorphs... shoot be a good fight again :)

This game looks pretty cool, and even if it doesn't totally steal sales away from Madden (which it probably won't, realistically) at least it will bring competition back to football games.

Yeah, I guess they might as well mention that there is a PS3 version, so people know if it's an exclusive or not.

But I don't think it's that big of a deal, to be saying it's shitty journalism just because they didn't mention an alternate version of the game. It's not like they were trying to trick people or mislead them.
