Famitsu lost some of their credibility because prior to 2008, they had only given away 6 perfect scores. Ever. In the history of their existence.
Since then, they've given away 14. More than half of their perfect scores in the past 2 years? Something seems very wrong there.
That's weird, I don't even see the name "Sony" anywhere in the article. You must have a different version of the article than me!
The only way an X-Com "shooter" could work is if the gameplay was done similar to Valkyria Chronicles. Combine that with an X-Com Geoscape and you'd quite possibly have a winner.
This? This reads like someone accidentally typed "Com" instead of "Files" when writing the press release. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go work on my "re-imagining" of Ultima as a 2D puzzle platformer.
Proud to be part of the 25% who own all 3 consoles!
360 failure rate at 66% is pretty crazy, not to mention the number of people who have pirated PC or console games.
Obviously the results are going to be slightly skewed due to the fact that most people who read gaming news online probably lean more towards the "hardcore" crowd, but interesting regardless.
I dunno, I don't think the problem is with motion gaming per-say, but the implementation thus-far. People wanted things like a 1-to-1 sword-fighting or 1-to-1 boxing game since the Wii was first announced, and years, later, there's still no such thing. Both Sony's Move and Microsoft's Natal have the possibility to change that, and as of yesterday, Sony's Move has shown more realistic and useful implementations.
If either one of them actually get it RIGHT, even some hardcore fol...
I'd rather not see a God of War 4, at least not anytime soon. And I say that despite loving the series.
Let GoW3 be the swan-song of the series as-is, then wait a few years and release a new "God of War" line of game set in the same universe (think "God of War: Modern Warfare", only not retarded), with the same level of gameplay innovation found in the first two God of War games back when they were released.
I'm glad someone finally did this.
Sigh. One more week...
No surprise. Considering how long LA Noire was in development before we got any details, I'd be shocked if we learn anything substantial before 2011.
Damn! Seriously? Was looking forward to this. Hopefully it'll all be for the best, in the end.
Guess I can finally play Infamous if I need my sandbox gaming fix in the meantime.
This is a silly conversation. Of course Sony took longer to comment on the issue than random Internet users would - they have a lot more to lose if they report incorrect information than Johnny McBlogspot does, so they have to make SURE they're right.
That's a whole lotta hours. Yeesh.
Try before you buy? Sure. That's what renting's for, after all.
Stealing it? There's no excuse.
Eh, post people don't have the modded hardware to play it anyway. Not sure why anyone would risk getting themselves banned just for the sake of a free game, anyway. If you don't want to buy, that's fine - games are overpriced these days - but at least use something like Gamefly.
Yes, this was a solid month for everyone.
Immature console war crap aside (if such a thing is even possible at N4G anymore), it's good to see the game industry is still going strong despite everything.
Heh, Ultima VII at #24 and Oblivion at #6, even though Ultima VII did everything Oblivion tried to do, and did it better, and came out almost 15 years earlier.
Guess Ultima VII needed more bloom.
I don't know which platform I'll get it for, but I'll go ahead and claim I'm getting it for the PS3 so I get tons of agrees and maybe even a bubble or two!
The game looks fantastic from an isometric perspective on the PC, which is how it was MEANT to be played. The console versions were a last-minute afterthought, and it shows.
I am sort-of curious how is remotely on-topic...or are you just looking for agrees/bubbles to make yourself feel better?
It's almost certainly just a silly coincidence, or at best, something a disgruntled graphic artist snuck into the game.
That said, I wish it were true. The more people that can get out from under Activision's thumb, the better.
This is why I'll personally never get on board the 3D train - it's just too expensive for what you get out of it. A new, 3D-supporting TV, then, on top of that, $150 for EACH PERSON who wants to watch something in 3D? No thanks. I friends over too often for movie watching, so I just don't see it fitting into my life.
