FFIX is easily my favorite out of the entire franchise, to this day. The most compelling characters, the most beautiful score, beautiful art style & environments...
Second favorite game of all time.
"What if this happens after warranty??"
Well, none of these are outside of warranty yet so all we can do is speculate as to what position the company would take. As it stands, however, every DualSense is still under warranty, and the warranty fully covers drift issues in the controller.
And given the comparatively small percentage of actual owners who are spouting about this online, I'm not really sure this suit is gonna get far, or that thi...
Calling it a "Spiritual Successor" is a pretty bold claim for having so little to go off of.
And I'll be blunt... nothing here gives me Dino Crisis vibes.
I like to actually own my games and not be dependent on servers and files being kept up and available to me in order to access and download them.
Plus I find it much easier to keep track of my library when I can actually see it. To say nothing of friends and family who've bought me games I already had digitally more than once.
I'll go digital for some games if there's a dirt-cheap sale, but I ALWAYS prefer Phyisical.
@Tekken66634 Bit of a misread there. My point is that a USEABLE SSD in current consoles doesn't exist, nor does an HDD of that size that's available to consumers.
We're talking consumer-level here, not ultra-high-end Enterprise.
...I see you have no idea what Machine Learning is.
This is fun to play with solid mechanics...
@tech5
I'm downvoting for that bad tech assessment. lol
You've forgotten to take into account diminishing returns on storage formats. To get 16 TB of storage onto one HDD, you've got to have a drive over an inch thick, with a lot of trays that make it pretty fragile... and it costs about $400. SSD tech is nowhere near that yet without RAID cards as well.
Things are improving, but yeah, that's a rather ridiculous theoreti...
@agnosticgamer While MLB hasn't gone the route of the NFL and given away EXCLUSIVE licensing for their league's sport... MLB The Show IS the only "official" game sanctioned by MLB and allowed to carry their name in the title. It's the BRANDED MLB game. Sony could, in theory, keep making baseball games had they lost the license, just call it "The Show" and drop the MLB, but they would also lose the sweet cross-promotion and perks that license deal came with. <...
The part where he says they made a smart choice from a business perspective does not negate his belief this is a hindrance from a design perspective.
I don't think you're grasping what he's saying.
Of course the Series X and PS5 will PERFORM better than the Series S. This isn't about performance, resolution, or frame rate. This is about DESIGN. Next-gen design and FEATURES will be held back by this machine.
That was a dang demo.
Both are doable, but yes, we do definitely need a lot more focus on new or original IP from gaming in general.
...that said, there ARE some licenses that are criminally overlooked in the games space too, and could be quite amazing. hile not necessarily new IP, they'd be new to the games space, and still fresh. Returning to the same franchises over and over again for games can get kind of tiring.
>Movie IP
It's a comic book IP, broski.
They do have loadouts, but I think that's NG+ only.
I'd like to see them jump ahead in history, have Jin's descendant be part of overthrowing the Kamakura Shogunate, only to realize the mistake and have to work to depose the very man he helped put in power.
Would avoid being repetitive and open up new settings and environments to play with.
Nate Fox confirmed the True Ending is Jin refusing to kill his uncle.
Crisis averted!
Early Access would be something akin to a paid extensive demo.
That would almost be TOO sexy.
