A PC can be hooked to tv. Problem solved or google IPS monitors which is pretty much HDR.
You can hook any PC to a HDR 4K tv. You can run any PC game at NATIVE 4K RESOLUTION with HDR enable. For example, Stellaris, definitely Xcom 2. The issue is that gaming journalism has been bought and paid for by console manufacturers. Notice the lack of PC game news or how all of a sudden Vive/Oculus are under represented by making PS VR look good....
Thank you well said, console gamers forget that a PC can be hooked to a tv set.
Good grief horrible article both the xbox s and ps4 pro offer HDR and UPSCALE to 4K. So no I do not see the PS4 Pro offering better visuals....
That means PS VR is as good as say Samsung Gear VR or Google's Daydream VR. How amazing is that, PS VR as powerful as what the smartphones offer. Nowhere close to Vive or Oculus
Keep it going. Gaming is a business yes but is not a corporate business but a creative business.
Dying Light and Layers of Fear are the only horror games on this list
Is not just one thing that makes a game great is the whole enchilada. A game that engages the player in is far better than a game that is fun. An engaging game can be dramatic, make you 😢, laugh or terrified. A fun game cannot. An engaging game can never turn in a shore or bore the user because the user is engaged in the gameworld. A game that can deliver great gameplay mechanics, story, sound/🎶 is far better than a game that only delivers one trait.
Gaming should be about the user being engaged in the gameworld not about fun (too limited). When a game fails to engage the gamer into its gameworld, lore, or story then the game developer has failed. I do admit too many games have released unable to keep up.
I agree in the sense that a xbox gamer is willing to play on PC because of Xbox Live Anywhere.
5 years from now or 3 years (crossing fingers). We gamers might finally see the power of the ☁. In 2020 however we gamers will finally see an Xbox app/PS app on a smart tv set 😄. Ending the need of outdated, outperformed, unnecessary console hardware. They told me that PS Now was not coming to PC, they were wrong.
Interesting personal blog. I never saw it from that perspective.
No mention of Planet Coaster or Torment Tides of Numera
They tell gamers to look/read game reviews before buying a game. Well guess that option is out now lol
If you are talking consoles then the user needs to unplug its next-gen console plug in his/her last console insert the game that they currently own. That is if their last gen console works and the game they want to play is in mint condition. That is a drag. On PC re download PC game from 2009, 2008, and any game bought from a digital store call it a day.
I agree but it should be free ONLY ONLY for the gamers that own the original copy; for example, skyrim remastered edition on PC is free for those that own the original copy plus Bioshock collection is free for those that own the original copy. I also got Trine 2 remastered edition for free. Is great being a PC gamer 😄
No, but it happened on PC in regards to Skyrim and Bioshock collection FREE of charge to ONLY the PC gamers that owned the original copy of the game 😄. You do not see it on consoles because console gamers don't demand for it.
They done it on PC:
Skyrim
Bioshock collection.
Everyone knows my stand on this so no need to repeat myself.
Is a laptop not a desktop PC. My five year old desktop is able to play any game at NATIVE 1080p 45 frames per second.
