HMV are very expensive in any case. Only this week they announced that they are set to close 60 stores after weak sales over Christmas. HMV Group plc’s Interim Management Statement saw a 13.3% sales decrease, like for like, in the ten weeks leading up to 1 January 2011 over all HMV stores. I hope they're not hoping for this expensive special edition to make up the sales deficit!

Given how much they did announce, it seems a bit odd to criticize them for a game we know is coming and may be announced in a few months at other gaming events

Well, if anyone thinks it's a deal breaker, I guess they shouldn't buy it. It's pretty normal for a sub service though that you lose the benefit once you unsubscribe
Actually, Gabe openly expressed his dismay and dislike of all things PS3. If he's gracious (and sensible) enough to accept he was wrong, PS3 fans can do the same. It's just being mature and realistic. The backflip is from both sides - not just the sony fans. You can see that right?

I'm in awe - I really wasn't expecting all those games to be produced in 3D. Not that I can afford a 3D TV as yet but still great for when i can!
I was CTIA (conference in US) earlier this year and there was a TV on dislpay showing 3D video without the need for glasses. There was no name on it though. The TV was a little thicker than a 'normal' LCD/Plasma TV but the effect worked really well. No idea if such a tv would work with the PS3 though or whether you absolutely need the glasses ... anyone know?

has been around for ages. If you can't stomach a game because a well known brand of baked potato chips had paid for an ad placement then I'm a bit baffled. For every single solitary moment of our lives we are surrounded by advertising by brands aren't we? Films, internet, television ... billboards, newspapers, magazines ...
Why should gaming be any different?
