Locked 30fps isn't a problem. However, only a blind person cannot see this dips into the 20's during combat at the very least. THAT is the real issue.
Why would you show State of Decay as early as they did? I thought this game was 2024 at worst…. Now it’s 2025 confirmed
What we KNOW Sony has coming that are promising titles from now potentially through 2024, many of which weren't present at their showcase but peppered across various events:
Final Fantasy XVI
Spider-Man 2
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
Resident Evil 4 VR
Dead Stranding 2
Silent Hill 2
Wolverine (Maybe)
Rise of the Ronin
Phantom Blade Zero
Last of Us Factions (If it is shown any time soon)..... ...
Technically they have not but we can potentially anticipate the following in 2024:
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
Dead Stranding 2
Silent Hill 2
Wolverine
Rise of the Ronin
Phantom Blade Zero
Last of Us Factions (If it is shown any time soon).....
Good luck Microsoft!
The games need to come out and be certified bangers before we say anyone is "back". They are so far behind the libraries of the switch and ps5 as it is that they're just going to be playing continuous catch up. Final Fantasy XVI comes out in 9 days and based on the demo will be another banger while Microsoft continues to keep us waiting. I am hopeful that Starfield will be the start of Xbox picking up steam with Forza a month behind. The issue then is nothing in 2024 has a re...
This is what gets on my nerves about the Starcraft thing. Series S cant run this to fidelity but can run Starfield at the same framerate as the X? cmon, give the X a performance option.
That was one of the best demos I have ever played.
Nothing to get over. I’m good, clearly you are the one suppressing feelings since you have to resort to name calling. I was simply fact checking the showcase (outside of the controller remark), which was just as mediocre as Sony’s when you look at it without a blindfold.
Only dips I saw were during the final battle
Is it locked though?
LOL why should the Series S ship with Series X controllers? Quit rage typing bro, you're making no sense.

It was a joke.... although it makes you think.
we didn't need to count frames with side scrolling sprites. PSX/N64/PS2 era we were just glad to get 3D and continuously more realistic hands instead of blocks. Visual fidelity has reached a point where performance does matter now. 30fps isn't a deal breaker if it's locked. However it dips into the 20's which you can clearly see in the footage, that's the bigger issue for me.
a creative decision is making Trek to Yomi black and white. This is such PR spin.
What he should have said: If you want this game at 60FPS the game will be delayed until after the holidays and at this point we simply cannot afford another year of nothing.
Considering how starving they are, yeah they'll be eating.
If series S can run this at 30fps they could have lowered the resolution from 4K on the X. No excuse.
I agree with you completely. They are getting out of hand. They really should print disc versions for Collector's Editions but this is another way for them to limit production costs and make even more money. I personally have accepted digital and I don't think I've purchased a physical release since the beginning of this gen (Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, Forza Horizon 5 & Halo Infinite) but can acknowledge why this is a big deal for people willing to shell out this kind...
This didn't age well.
ouch.
There were a slew of good things at this show:
1) Fable is coming, some time.
2) Hellblade 2 is coming, some time in 2024.
3) Forza Motorsport requires online connectivity
4) Avowed is paying homage to 2012
5) Starfield will be as smooth as Tears of the Kingdom
6) More Flight Simulator, Fallout 76, Overwatch 2, Sea of Thieves
7) A Black Series S to ship with unsold Series X controllers
8) Perfect Dark is perfect...

Those 2 games got equal and higher scores than most of Sony's AAA releases :D
Those games were not rated with the same scale as God of War etc. I assure you a 9 for God of War is not a 9 for Pentament. You clearly don't know how this works for indie games / low budget filler games
