PS2 was successful due to sheer number of AAA and AA titles, across all genres. but ALSO due to the fact it was backwards compatible...via hardware, but PERMANENTLY, which meant you didn't have to sell or shelve your PS1 games/experience. PS3 was initially successful without good games due to this.

I don't care how many disagrees or bubbles down I get, I've been on this site for 8 years and I can't believe how entitled and spoiled people seem. Bungie said they will have people working 24/7 on this game.... for years. How many story missions is enough? How long is 32 Missions? Probably best to reserve judgement until you start reading reviews.
the dreamcast was a collectible because they didn't have any copyright protection embedded in. you could just burn any game you wanted and play it on any dreamcast, no modchip needed!

Only disagreeing because you could tell Bungie WAS burned out on the Halo Franchise just from playing reach. 343 brought a slew of different ideas to the franchise. Yes, people say it was a lot like "COD", but I think they took it in a better, story driven direction.
you get a beta code for pre-ordering, then you have to register at bungie.net with your code and select your platform. Not exactly "open", but not closed either.
Actually it's on more than "both" consoles. Last Gen gets it too. Sony "bet" on Destiny buy paying more to get exclusive content, and the first beta, etc.
If True, then this is crap. The gears of war 3 beta....lasted 3 or 4 weeks. I would think they would want to collect data from a longer period of 10 days. Only time will tell if this is true. I'm thinking "no".

He's right: I spent days and days playing that trilogy. And the last 10 minutes was like WTF???? I went out and recruited ALL this help, so I could merge digital and biological life? Where was the big space battle? Where was giving us control of the Normandy? The multiplayer in ME3 was the crown Jewel, but I feel like ME2 was a better story. I was so "WTF" after playing the first time, I never went back for the updated ending. Hopefully it was worth it...

All this talk about how backwards compatibility was TOO expensive, but they've poured plenty of money into repackaging the same games for us (many times digitally) because THAT's the money maker. I don't need to relive DMC from 2013 or DMC4 because they really aren't all that old.
