If they get sued it's not because of the game being bad, it's because they mislead their investors which lead to massive losses for them. Besides, in what world is being sued for lying bad? I wouldn't mind if more people were sued for being full of shit and misleading other people.
People keep saying this, but development started in like 2018. They announced the game before they even started making it.
Except the industry has so much more to it now. This is a black eye on CDPR not so much the industry. With games like RDR2, Horizon, TLOU2, and so many more launching very well there's plenty of examples of how to push the envelope and do it in a way that is enjoyable to the player. Something is very wrong at CDPR, but I don't think that's indicative of the entire industry; no matter how many platitudes journalists and fand want to throw out there.
No they aren't trolling. They actually think it's your fault a functioning business released a non-functioning, subpar mess. Somehow they've placed CDPR on such a high pedestal that if you notice anything wrong with them, it's your fault for noticing it. This is how people convince themselves of utter nonsense all the time. We're just seeing it so clearly because this situation is so obviously one sided.
This was their board of directors, basically everyone they took money from told them to pay up and they weren't ready. Text book in-over-your-head. They basically had to sacrifice a decades long reputation to pay down some debt. And from the sounds of it the staff isn't happy. This is literally their worst case scenario. I keep seeing "it runs fine on PS5," but why would I buy it on PS5 either? The console versions are empty and blurry. PS5/XsX can do so much more than this shit show.

First thing I thought of was the CEO saying that Sony and MS expected them to fix the game and they just chose not to but they'll get to it in a month or two. Sony probably thought, then you can release it in a month or two.

I wouldn't be surprised if some heads rolled, but I doubt anyone actually responsible for this mess will feel any repercussions. They just hit a jackpot and now their investors are happy. That's all that matters; their reputation, their pride in their work, they trashed it all for that jackpot. And how many of us wouldn't do the same thing given the chance?
