Seriously, with pretty much every major game site running articles speculating about this being MGS5, it seems more telling to me that the developers haven't denied this.

If you announced a new game and the internet blew up about it secretly being part of a major franchise you have nothing to do with, wouldn't you want to clear up the confusion ASAP (and before the actual franchise owners and publishers get involved)?

The lack of denial may as well be...

Gravity Rush and Ragnarok Odyssey are FREE for PS Plus in the next update!

Loving Professor Layton on my 3DS, but honestly I've been playing my Vita far more this year. Absolutely no reason not to have a Vita anymore, even taking price into consideration since Vita games are $10-30 cheaper than 3DS games.

I wish the score at the end of a review was not so incredibly important to both publishers and many gamers.

A score is an abstract summary of the subjective quality of a game by the writer who played it; NOT a promise of how much you personally will enjoy it.

It's sad how much perceived value a rating has as both a marketing tool and relative comparison between games.

Maybe if you read it again, you'd realise that it is not 2% less traffic.

It is 2% less game content than the PS3 version. Part of that 2% less content is that the Vita version will have less traffic. No scale of how much traffic has been reduced has been provided.

...Why do so many people just scan for keywords and numbers, and put them together in any way they wish?

The problem is that game development has become so expensive.

Current-gen games can cost 3-4 times what they did last generation, yet are games sold for 3-4 times the price? No. So things like DLC or micro-transactions have become a necessity.

And even with that, publishers are still posting losses in the financial reports.

Sadly, this makes putting business people in charge a necessity to survive in the retail market.

You...

So...people aren't allowed to retire anymore without it being blamed on EA?

They even stated they had achieved their dream job and were extremely thankful for it. :/

@claud3 - 3GenGames is actually correct.

There is no 'Wii U graphics engine'. There are many engines that run on the Wii U hardware.

For example, Arkham City (a Wii U launch title) runs on Unreal Engine 3. Rayman Legends runs on the Ubi Framework engine.

I think what you meant is that Zelda MM was recently converted to an engine that can run on Wii U.

You'd think they would have pulled the plug earlier and said "no" from the outset though, instead of wasting Rare's (and subsequently Microsoft's) time...

They meant Activision (the last mentioned) is the current holder of the Bond license.

The Nintendo and Microsoft are the publishers (Nintendo of the original, Microsoft now as owners of Rare) and Rare as the developer.

Hence: Nintendo, Microsoft, Rare and Activison all have some stake in a GoldenEye remake and would all need to agree.

I picked it up with a bunch of other games on sale last year, but only ended up playing about an hour before ignoring it (and eventually returning it).

It just felt extremely clunky and old to me. Also very empty, as if the game was unfinished.

If it's one of those games like Infinite Undiscovery that has a horrible first few hours but then somehow transforms into an awesome game I'd be willing to give it another go.

Otherwise, if the...

It's up to the developers what platforms they wish to develop for; a game not being on a platform is not proof that it can't. That being said, obviously it would require some serious reworking to be possible on wii or mobile.

Regarding it being 1080p / 60fps on Wii U, Trine 2 uses very limited z-axis depth as it's a side scroller, vastly reducing the geometry on screen at any one time than a game with 3-dimensional navigation using the same assets. This means it a...

Just because I can't resist, Rayman Origins and Virtua Tennis 4 both run at 1080p native on PS3.

They also run at 60fps. :)

@yodagamer - the vita prices actually aren't much different.

The prices range from $5-10 cheaper than their current PS Store RRPs.

Uncharted: $45 -> $40
Unit 13: $40 -> $30
ModNation: $27 -> $20

Not exactly "dramatic". Seems fairly normal being about 6 months after the release of most of them.

I've bought 10 Vita games from PSN but haven't rated any.

Does that mean mine aren't actual sales? >_>

Yeah, the combat in Dogma is awesome, better than Amalur and Skyrim in my opinion. Pawn system is great too.

But the story is less interesting. I tended to forget why I was doing stuff most of the time, but it was still fun without knowing so I didn't care.

Seems like if Dark Souls and Skyrim had an ugly baby.

Has the good points of both but really needed time to fix the broken technical stuff.

I'm hoping Nintendo has new announcements tomorrow.

This year it seems like everything leaked or was announced before E3, and then just shown off in the press conference.

The only games in MS's conference we didn't know about were the XBLA games, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Dance Central 3, and the only game we didn't know about for Sony was Beyond (and the subtitle for the Vita's CoD game).

Note to publishers: please sav...

Considering they showed a teaser about 30 seconds long, two-thirds of which was black screens then no, I don't think you're alone.

Seems too early for it to have been announced if they didn't really have anything to show yet.

I get the impression this is the filler year before the next Xbox in 2013, as both the Forza and Gears on show are made by secondary teams.

There was nothing from Rare, Turn 10 or the core Epic team, and only Fable: The Journey from Lionhead. I'm guessing they're all hard at work on their launch games for the next gen.

Kind of makes it a bit underwhelming this year. MS has one platform to show off and it's winding down ready for the next gen, whil...
