What the hell? The game is so far in development that to build it around PS5's hardware would push it back at least 6+ months. It's okay. It's going to be a great game on PS4. I don't know what people are smoking nowadays.

I feel like timed is worse because often you'll get it a year later on your platform yet you'll pay it the same price as a game that just came out.
And it can't be all that good for business because why should I get a console for a game I know is coming out on my platform eventually?

Remaking an RPG of FF7's scope into an action game using modern technology is an immense undertaking. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if it had been turn-based like the original. It's not something most people think about but the AI for instance is much MUCH easier to deal with in a turn-based RPG like FF. There's no movement for one. Hell they could take all their decisions completely randomly and it'd probably work well anyway.

It hasn't been that long. FFXIV Shadowbringers came out this summer and it was fantastic. FFXIV may be an MMO but it really captures the essence of Final Fantasy. It's okay that every entry tries something different. I loved FFXV to be honest. I hated FFXI, FFXII got it all wrong from what I saw and I'm not gonna get into FFXIII and its sequels. We had a lot of great spin-offs and sequels like Crisis Core and FFIV The After Years (although I may be in the minority for this one)
Well yeah. All consoles are computers specialized to run video games and designed to make gaming more accessible than a traditionnal PC. You hook your controller and play. No special config required because their hardware can't vary. That's all they are.
It's a great genre and I don't get why people think they're not accessible. Demons Souls was unforgiving af and yeah not as accessible but Dark Souls made it much more accessible by including the bonfires. That means you're never that far from where you last died. And with the estus flask that gets refiller on bonfires that means you're not using up limited or expensive resources. Demons Souls had that issue because healing items were either dropped from monsters or bought...
They either suck or they're full of it because I didn't have to do a lot of "babysitting" either. BB's gauge barely even goes down. He was always laughing for no reason (indicating that his gauge was maxed.) I must have soothed him about 10 times in a 100 hours. He got autotoxemia one time and that was a story event to teach you about that mechanic so that doesn't count.

That's the score I'm giving it myself. It's great. It has many small flaws unfortunately and it's IMO one of my least favorite Kojima game but it's still a great game.
I definitely would play it on hard if I could go back because I felt difficulty was way too low and I should have been scared of BTs but I wasn't because they were almost never a threat. Human enemies also become threatening much too late in the game.

I'm not sure which one Septic is defending. I mean is Pokemon innovating really? We're comparing an overused formula with a game series that has a unique formula that is at its third entry.
Spoiler alert but they have more than one team aaaaand I'm sure one of them is already working on RE8. Hell I'm sure they were working on 8 before 7 was released.
Having played the HD collection it's actually a huge step up. Sure it's not up to today's AAA standards I suppose but is it such a bad thing? A lot of indie games out there have graphics that look dated and it doesn't seem to bother anyone.

Not necessarily Bethesda's fault this time. They could patch exploits better I suppose but at the very least I'd say it's unintended on their part. Game still sucks though.
