I personally am a gameplay whore. Would I like a graphics upgrade? of course. But personally the gameplay is more important to me than the way it looks.

I normally refrain from agreeing with a publication that has the same name of a game system but its hard to for me this time. I admittingly prefer my 360 over my ps3 (kingkongjay is both my psn and live ID's) as the majority of my friends have 360's and I prefer Live over PSN. However, like the editor said, I can't see a rational person look at both the Elite (Now pro I guess) and a slim ps3 and choose the 360.

I will definitely be purchasing a slim. Unfortunately my ps3 fans come on about 15 mins into usage and is very loud. Love the system, hate the fact it runs so warm.

Ive been through 2 rrod's and a loud fan noise on my ps3 that sony replaced for free. My 360 is fine now and my ps3 still has the loud fan noise. I sent it back to sony and sony said the ps3 is running to spec. 20 mins into a movie the fans kick on to level 3 and during talking scenes the audio is drowned out by the loud ps3 fans. Ive opened up the ps3 trying to see if there was a dust accumulation and there was none.

In my opionion every true gamer needs both. Obviously if you can't afford both then purchase what you enjoy most. I own both and am very satisfied knowing that I get the best of both worlds.
Again...while I feel PSN is fantastic in how it has grown. At the end of the day...Live > PSN. Sorry guys, spin it, flip it, do whatever you want with it, the Live experience is better. When I turn my xbox on you just get a greater sense of community than I do on my ps3.

Im not defending sony but think of it logically. If they have DD cheaper than UMD's than kiss the UMD format completely goodbye. Why buy a UMD when you can download it? I understand not everyone has access to the internet but alot of ppl still prefer to have a "physical" format (See the Digital distribution argument versus Blu Ray). Now if DD is cheaper, and someone still prefers a UMD, I can see someone going DD as it is cheaper...they'll put their differences aside.
There's no doubt about it, PSN has made very good strides in improving itself. There's zero debate about that. But to say its better than Live is ridiculous. Its definitely getting closer but its not better than Live. You guys take off your fanboy goggles for a sec and stop being bias.

I don't get why anyone at this point cares about who finishes third place. Sony is in 3rd place with 47 million units shipped. No matter what, everyone won this generation. I can see why some might be concerned that Sony didn't sell as much as last generation but there's still time and more price cuts to push alot mre units.
