could not care less about mountains popping. drives like a pain, its not fun, and it was a struggle to actually stop myself turning the demo off within 30 seconds. same goes GT prologue, its like driving in treacle. if i wanted to experience that, id get in the car with my girlfriend.
i agree...but i cant quite put my finger on why...it just didnt excite me (apart from the darth maul double ended chainsaw awesomeness) i think its just...i've seen it all before. the shopping mall was a perfect setting for the first, i dont think im keen on the vegas part of it (totally random, but how cool would a cruise ship be as a setting! malls, restuarants, water parks, cheesy hawaian clubs...i digress)

For me, the best next gen game released, bar none, and there have been some amazing games. But nothing came close to Mass Effect for me, the personalisation, the story, the epic 'star wars esque' light vesus dark battle. Everything was on the money.
And no other game has left me feeling like ME after i finished it. Completing the final fight, making that last choice, then THAT song kicks in as the credits roll, it was electric, i just sat there for a while. Not many games can ...
i've racked up a character with 150 hours into it. i defy any single player next gen game, oblivion aside, to have me that interested for that long. i love it. if i could, id smear it on a sandwhich and eat it. its that good. and yet, i could list a hundred faults, just like i could in oblivion, but it doesnt matter. it sucks me in. i almost feel bad for those who wont/cant play it. it should be part of the NHS.

dude...what the hell? did you just vomit on your keyboard and hope it made sense?? focusing on secondary characters? yeah, thats usually quite vital in creating a beleivable universe in which the main character can occupy. for example, a few little shows/games/films, i dont know if you've heard of them, have all been quite successful as they built a world around the main character. The simpsons? Fallout? MGS? 24? google them if you've never heard of them...
