Feel like the minority here, but i genuinely couldn't be happier. I never particularly played the Hitman games for the story, for me it was always the possibilities and sandbox experience. In this respect, the new game has absolutely nailed it. The core gameplay is the best the series has been, the volume of experimentation is fantastic, it runs great, and I paid £11.99 for the Paris map, and sunk nearly 15 hours in, so value isn't an issue either.

The new lev...

That maybe so, but the details of what each of these 'play styles' are still not totally apparent. For instance, to be an explorer, you have to trade, for ships, suits and fuels. To trade, you need goods, so you have to explore. You mine, for goods, and risk the wrath of the roboty things, so you're a pirate.

You mention them like they have exclusive styles of play, but my worry is that absolutely dont, its just the same thing, the same style, rebranded to give th...

No, not looking for a fort building sim at all. More making the point that in a universe of this size, the inability to truly make a stake makes me worry that a focused end game cant really exist.

A journey is all well and good, but I've seen nothing to suggest a real destination. I dont agree that each journey will be unique either. Obviously with a universe crafted like this, by very definition and travel paths etc they will be different, but this isn't as unique a ...

Great game, played 12/14 hours of it by now and zero bugs or glitches, and still have tons to play around with. Classic Hitman, multiple choices and options, AI that makes sense and allows fun and experimentation without being over bearing and omnipotent. Good selection of weapons with tons more to unlock (weapons are for cowards anyway), and yeah, no dual wielding. This isn't Max Payne.

Just to echo what people have mentioned, this looks so mundane. I've gone from ridiculously excited, all the way to entirely non-plussed. The more i learn of the game, the less turned off i become.

(Disclaimer, LOVE 'walking simulators, Gone Home, Rapture etc)

Exploration is obviously a huge thing here, but the (apparent) lack of any kind of interaction with the discovery is crazy. There's still no feeling quite like the discovery feeling I have ...

SPOILER

The ending really disappointed me. Finding out what was in the fenced off area was also a letdown (I was hoping for a Lost style premise etc, but Elk trackers?) Of course, the pay off was the relationship, but that boiled down to some solid voice acting and nothing more really.

Amazing art style, real sense of isolation etc, but could have been so much more.

Lousy review, seemingly born from the fact he's not very good at it. God forbid a football game be challenging.

The final sentence really sums up this shocker 'Time to try something different'. Perhaps throw some guns in? A racing mini game?

This years PES is hands down the best football game since the PS2 versions. Don't take my word for it, take the many, many glowing reviews. It plays like a football game should.

Still play PES 2015 every day just about. Never gets old. Gameplay is flawless at times, last night, a year into playing it (And i consider myself at least semi decent) i was playing Madrid CPU, and got hammered 5-1. In the replays I could see them creating space, pulling my defenders out of position, I got absolutely annihilated, and I loved it.

FIFA got old within a few hours of owning it. Same old every year. Will not buy a FIFA game again until they rebuild it. I'm e...

I still play last years almost every day. It's the best football game since PES 6, and if they cancel it and I'm forced to play Fifa I'll be absolutely devastated. My only worry is, by this point, we generally have it announced/screen shots....

That footage was actually pretty awful. Really highlights what I believe will be the issue 20 hours in, the lack of combat variation. I'm not saying I'm not excited but I am worried about the games ability to keep me interested in the core mechanics over the long haul.

I am by no means any good at racing games, but I still enjoy them every so often. I love Driveclub, the handling, graphics etc, but I simply am not good enough, nor have the tenacity and patience to learn every course in the hope I shave a few seconds off. Reducing the difficulty makes it more accessible to 'my' level of racers, and means I can enjoy the game and work through it.

Hopefully they create a way to retain the higher difficulty if you want it, for those wh...

I agree. Very well said. It's been a while since I've read this kind of non waffle sense on here. I'm overwhelmed by the emotion of respect. Whoever gave you that downvote is clearly retarded.

I know PES gets a lot of heat, but I am totally excited for this version. I think the graphics are great, and the gameplay so far looks really promising, very crisp passing, bringing it out from defense, no ridiculous skill moves, and off the ball player movement which just looks light years ahead of fifa. Shame it's released in November, but happy to wait if it continues to look as promising as it does.

Laughable score. In no world is this a 4/10. Opinions by very definition cannot be wrong.

But this one is.

Easy tiger. I know the PS4 etc cant match it. BUT tweaking the AI? I'd expect that line of code to be handled.

The trailer was ps4 gameplay right? (Could be wrong there....) and the traffic/ped count was higher, I'm not concerned about the graphical improvements as I know they will be included (But yes, not to a PC extent obviously), I was more interested in the AI improvements.

Can anyone confirm is these 'enhancements' are coming for the PS4/XB versions? I'm assuming it's not a lack of power that would prevent it if they're only minor tweaks etc.
If I'm honest, the only 1 major improvement I'd love to see is cops easing off been on my ass if/when i fire a gun in the middle of nowhere, with no witnesses kicking around.

I think Rockstar will really nail the PC version this time around, lessons learnt from the GTA 4...

Yeah but i think we can both agree that very few sites use a '5 as average' scale now. Certainly the more mainstream seem to use a 6.5/7 as decent, thus more games that don't deserve 9's and 10's end up with them.

Regardless, I'd have no issue with that, and i have zero issue with the score (it wont sway me either way), my only issue is that i don't believe the path to this score was fleshed out well enough.

+Graphics
+Storyline
+Driving
+Free roam (although he then goes on to say 'but in terms of free roam fun, there is just not much to do' so somewhat confusing)

-Repetitive missions
-Not shooting while in a car (something I'm pretty happy about to be honest)
-Cops too easy to lose
-Unlimited stamina (!!!)

5.5 is low, not sure the review really argues properly why he went for that score, based on the ab...
