That made me laugh, but it's true!!
Wish N4G increased approvals to say 50 or 100, and disallowed any story which got too many reports (except mods could approve a reported story if they detected fanboyism behind reports)...
I've read most of the comments here but I don't get it...
If someone drops out of a game then you can always join up for the next one. What's the big deal? I certainly wouldn't want the rest of the game ruined by friend (real or online) whining in my ear about their dodgy internet connection, or asking what they're missing out on.
I really, really, really would hate to be engrossed in a good single player game and have a friend whining that they want to play CoD or...
There's so many pointless articles on N4G, reviews from pointless no-name sites, "news" of pointless blogs, forum posts, etc. Now it seems we are to be treated to endless reviews of press conferences. Can't wait for the first review of the quality of some other review (oh hang on - we've already had that too!!) Geez...
If N4G has any future, approvals need to go up to like 100 (rather than 10), and articles need to be moderated properly.
This place needs...
It's in settings -> preferences
Set "show main menu" to "no". It means it should go straight to TV when launched from the XMB...
I think screen tearing is a deliberate attempt to maintain frame rate. If the game is trying to hold a constant frame rate, but there's too much going on and it can't cope, you can either complete each frame fully (and the frame rate drops), or you just don't bother finishing rendering frames and move on to the next (frame rate keeps up, but screen tearing happens).
I am fairly confident I read that somewhere authoritative, but no doubt someone will correct if it's bs!
As I understand it the avatar can be customised so you can make it look just like your real self. So, presumably, you did that - but now you complain?
I love RPGs and really liked Oblivion (did about 80 hours I think, but got a little bored and didn't bother finishing it in the end, but it was good). Was really excited about Fallout 3...
What happened? I did 3 or 4 hours, hated the whole vault growing up thing, didn't like the story, found the combat side to be a little worse than Oblivion (surprisingly) - generally didn't like it.
Oblivion was an 8.5 in my opinion. Fallout 3 is around 6.5 (Edge's score seem jus...
3% electronics failure rate does not apply to discs. It might have applied in the early days to magnetic media (though I would guess more like 0.3%)...
At the end of the day a disc is merely high precision lego - and when was the last time lego didn't fit together for ya!
I'm not knocking your choice in films, honest. The thing is I've only ever seen really, really, really bad reviews of this film.
Lots of people seem desparate for it though. So my question is: is this because it's a great movie or is it more because it's a great HD showcase?
I'm more interested in LOTR, SW or Indiana Jones (just my opinion) - for the films themselves and also to show off to my non-HD friends...
You are signing up to help iron out bugs before the software is launched.
You are doing Konami a favour.
They owe you nothing, whether that is a working game or easy access to the service. You owe them your gratitude, if you're that fussed, for the pleasure (however unpleasurable it may be) to play a game before it's released...
If I were a developer ther is no way I would do an open beta. Just imagine the bug reports. "This doesn't work, I...

Resistence (86) and Killzone (70!?) have both been owned by the Halo Series (97,95,94).
------
I honestly thought - resistance 1986, Killzone 1970? Halo in 1997, 1995 and 1994? "What's this fool on about?", I thought...
Then I realised... Of course. Why would anyone ever want to argue their own opinion of a game when they can use another person's opinion expressed as a number out of 110?
I'm sorry to have a go, b...
good post. Not sure everyone will agree, but reasoned and well argued. Bubbles deserved (not that you're short of them)...
First off, it's a video game system! Second, I could careless if this game is multi-plat. I will be picking it up for the 360 anyway. So what do I care! And finally it will not be released on all 3 at the same time! April Fools!

LOL. I love it when what people type gives a completely different impression to the intended message. Objectively read, yes, you do sound scared!!
F#ck That Wall?
COD4 is the same on both systems. Do you really care about 9.5 vs 9.6? In some other thread there was some guy going on about ground textures in the two versions!! It's all down to personal opinion - why people feel the need to use scores (other people's opinions) as the basis for their own "opinions" mystifies me...
shawnpfiore:
"but after seeing the Xbox 360 version at a friend house I noticed improvements over the PS3 version especially the ground textures looked much better on the 360 version. So I purchased the 360 version and compared both side by side hooked up through HDMI to my 40" Sony Bravia FULL 1080p lcd, and the superior version was revealed."
So you bought the 360 version because of a few very minor differences, and you thought the ground textures were b...
am i to believe that canadian posts are inherently diasagreeable?
Perhaps this question too will be deemed disagreeable?
... who knows?
Maybe a 16 core ARM cortex unit. I seem to remember they plan to start sampling these in 2012. Great thing about that kind of processor is you could probably run it at 2ghz with a small psu and maybe no heatsink or fans... There's big savings to be had on those things. Plus if things run cooler then failure rates will be lower too!
