just because something is popular doesn't necessarly make it right/correct. It's called "group think". MW2 is more likely popular because friends convince their friends its a good game. Which it certainly is not.

Every complaint he said about Bad Company 2 could be applied to Modern Warfare 2! I thought I could lose more respect from IGN.

if I have to pay for cross-game chat I am going to be pissed. I'm still going to use my PS3, but oooooooh I'm gonna be mad.

of course its not the 'answer' to piracy! Many pirates (still funny to type) had already taken measures to avoid the ban. An ex-coworker has a modded Xbox360 and he is still on Xbox live. Not very long after more pirates will find a way around the ban and just continue as usual or just buy a PS3. Getting banned has prob pissed them off.

It doesn't matter at all. IBM isn't the only player in town. I mean what other processers are the famous for? INTEL is there own company. ATI, NVIDIA, AMD are all known for processers. IBM has hardware engineers yeah, but you can find those guys in a number of places. Sony has their own internal engineers anyway.

I think this playstation themed website is bogus. This is the second nasty story these guys have 'reported' on.

Further more, IBM has had finacial difficulty for quite some time now. So, IF this story is true, it would not have anything to do with the quality of the Cell processor.

Also, the comment "notoriously difficult to develop for" raises red flags. This sounds like a fanboy comment, because developers have said that its not 'difficult' just diff...

Where is the Lens of Truth comparison for this game? You mean they were able to get one for CODMW2 and not this? Who knows maybe they did.

it sucks yes, but its not the end of the world. I do wish, however, that this was happening to Activision, if it has to happen at all.

you have completely missed my point. I did NOT choose to involve Steam to any of my other games. I bought it for the purpose of buying Valve products like L4D or HL2. Infact you are right. I bought Dawn of War 2 and it showed up on my Steam account. I had never gone online for it or verified it through Steam, yet Steam/Valve took it upon themselves to assimilate the game I had purchased separately.

I hate Steam. It's slow to update and it's impossible to get games to (many time...

for them not to carry the game. Steamworks is a type of 'trojan horse'. It uses games to install itself on people computers for the purpose of monitoring and controlling specific content on your computer. It is not a malicious attack on your PC, but it is still a way to imbed a program without the user clearly understanding what it is or what it does, and at time most people are unaware its even installed.

I don't care for steam for many reasons. There are several times after ...

is more than just two words to describe a type of virus, it is an anology to describe ANYTHING that pretends to be something in order to gain access to a guarded entity. The origin of the word 'trojan horse' is based on the story of the Greeks who had built a large hollow wooden horse filled with soldiers and offered it as a gift inorder to gain enterence into Troy.

You're right, 360 is equal because Bayonetta is superior on that console. I mean forget that God of War 3, a PS3 exclusive, is around the corner and that might be true.

when you release something on the internet, especially that popular, its on there forever. Besides, it's not like the number of people using such nastly language can increase THAT much more. I mean pretty much everyone on XBL uses that word.

Unbiased... is your name suppose to be ironic? Sony's loses are a result of the economic downturn and even Microsoft has experienced big losses. You are manipulated the numbers to fit your argument. That is the very definition of bias.

You don't make a company out of thin air then produce Rage like graphics like it's just the easiest thing to do. If the studio had anything tangible to reveal it would have been done long ago. But now that the game has gone multi-platform, all the fanboys are coming out and saying its the greatest thing since Star Wars. It takes years, if not decades to form a team that can push hardware that far. Name on company that just came out of nowhere and just REVOLUTIONIZE software programming.

that is game is going multiplatform? Infact he was praising the PS3 over the 360. First all the 360 fanatics claim the game sucks, but now that it might be excellent its multiplatform? You guys are pathetic.

How does Alan Wake compare to Heavy Rain? From all the footage I've seen the game looks about as good as MGS4. Not saying its a bad game, but graphicly Heavy Rain is miles beyond what we've seen on the 360, not to mention Uncharted 2, God of War 3, etc... Hell even flagship racer Forza doesn't look as good as GT5, hell not even Prologue.
