I'd agree in general although load times on Duke Nukem did my head in during particularly frustrating sections of the game
For those asking for a pc comparison wouldn't that be hard when the loading times are likely to vary depending on your hardware.
I have heard the pc load times are much better than consoles though so seems the pc version is the way to go (better graphics, quicker load times and cheaper. Probably mods too?)
wow watching the project I-8 Demo brings back memories. Remember seeing it at the time and being amazed lol looks so dated now
I gave up on Socom when playing 4. It's sad that possibly my most played ps2 game is now a mediocre tps. The problem with Socom 4 is they tried to make it more maintstream, fair enough this they're making games to make money and it's their source of income, however in doing so it lost a lot of what socom is.
One of my favourite things about socom 1/2 were the maps and modes. Each map was designed specifically for 1 game mode which is why they always worked so we...
Main reasons imo:
1. COD this gen is more closely associated with consoles than pc and out of the 2 consoles it's the 360 that has got all the exclusive marketing, dlc and partnerships with it.
2. It's one of those games that the slightly more casual gamer will play each year, similar to Fifa. When making a purchase this type of gamer would have been more likely to go for the cheaper console.
3. The PS3 has a lot of exclusives coming ...
Probably true, especially with portal 2 having had integrated steam support and cross platform play.
And although I believe the ps3 version will be easier to update should they choose, Sony does still have a certification process which is why certain titles or updates have receieved considerable delays on ps3 (Blacklight Tango down was delayed due to Sony's certification process). So I doubt we'd ever see them roll out new updates 'in days'.
I give it about a month until we see the collectors edition in sales for $100 or less.
Having content restricted to different retailers is always annoying but at least it's organised. I remember the Joke of Socom 4, hearing about Socom Plus and how new American copies of the game came with a code, Europe however was left completely in the dark until it appears on the store for plus subscribers only.
Thought this was common knowledge
"outsource" "laziness" ....
your saying they're lazy because they didn't outsource the work lmao
shame there are only 2 screens but I completely forgot about this game. I never played the silent hill games when they came out and so picked up silent hill 2 a few years back to play on my ps3, ps3 died though and my new 1 wasn't backward compat - prob for the best not though if it means experiencing the full game first time in hd etc
Nope this article is stupid. Although I understand people getting annoyed when there are a load of articles on similar things such as the psn hack, there are a load of articles because there is loads of news on the subject at that time i.e. at the moment there is a lot of BF3 news coming out, hence a lot of BF3 news articles on N4G....
Also the fact that they are hot articles means lots of people are interested in them
Sorry to be a graphics whore but that looks terrible
I guess what they're saying then is buy Gears if your more into mp modes since all 5 points were mp related....
For me MW3 isn't the problem, it's that I just worked out that from mid september to mid Novemeber there are at least 16 games that I 100% want to play
Almost makes me tempted to buy GTA 4 for pc, although doubt my pc would make the most of this mod.
Kinda a shame it's a mod for GTA 4 though, it may look stunning but it's still GTA 4 under the hood which I found rather boring if i'm honest
I agree with your thoughts on Limbo. I really enjoyed my playthrough on 360, it's an excellent little game but it is 1 that doesn't really have any reply value. The fun comes from the traps/enemies and puzzles you encounter for the first time.
there's going to be an open beta too...
Well i'm actually looking forward to playing this game. I played the first 3 games back on psone and then didn't bother after that, in fact I don't even know how many games there have been since then for the franchise.
Lara Croft/Tomb Raider appears to be getting back on track though with the downloadable title last year and this reboot.
I'm pretty sure if they make a good action/platformer with good gameplay, puzzles, exploration and stor...
In terms of MW3 it seems the only advantage of XBL over PSN will be getting maps earlier... and well I personally have only ever bought 1 map pack for any COD game
