You can build a $700-1,000 system today, enjoy it for a couple of years, then spend $500 or so in the second year to extend its life for another 12-18 months. Crytek had all three version of Crysis 2 on display at GDC, side-by-side. It was painfully obviously how much the 360 struggled to run this game. And the number of people watching each version told a clear story:

Their offerings have practically been a re-run of their N64 and GC lineup, with very minor improvements in either gameplay or graphics.

Tribes 2 was hands-down the best FPS ever made. Unfortunately all the sequels since 2 have been washed-down disgraces to the franchise.
This game does look very promising, but I hope they don't fuck up the gameplay. The idea of selling loadouts is verrry iffy to me, especially when being able to customize your loadouts HOWEVER you want was one of the best things about Tribes.
