Sony lost lots of ground in the beginning because of Japan.
What went wrong in this gen imho is Japan.
Japan developers had no clue where to go with gaming.
They all jumped ship to cather to the Western audience and supported MS at the beginning more then Sony, and allowed some strategic franchises to go multiplatform like Devil May Cry, Tekken, Final Fantasy or developed exclusives for Microsoft.

Enemy waves composition, health, aggro doesn't change between Dante Must Die, Heaven or Hell or Hell or Hell.
What changes is the on hit=death condition.
As you see, this guy doesn't get hit, so...it's the same.
The guy has skills but this DmC unfortunately limits player a bit with few combos and few weapons.

There's no way in hell Bayonetta 2 will sell like Bayo1.
It may still sell good but not as much as Bayo1.
No way a game is going to sell on one system the same amount of copies it sold on 2 systems, also...new audience and slim fan-base.

Exactly what I think, it was my premise.
I always act like a fanboy around and love to troll a little, because it's fun to see younger people get pissed, but...yeah, a title selling millions considered a failure it's insane, wrong, bad.
Very few action games got past that milestone, neither Darksiders 1, nor Castlevania LOS, nor Dragon's Dogma and DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 just passed 2 millions with lots of sweat and years.
I don't count on it either, and it's a shame.
I've made a history of trolling Kamiya, Platinum and so on about this game.
I don't blame Nintendo, I blame Sega for not believing in the franchise despite 2 millions of copies sold.
I understand Sony to a certain extent since Bayo on PS3 was underwhelming and poor, I understand Microsoft completely because they only buy time exclusivity on DLCs. :p

No screen tear, just some almost unnoticeable frame drops, 2 hiccups in transitioning between a cutscene in engine and pre-rendered (one was in chapter 15 when Mundus unleashes)
Though I must say I swapped my HDD with a 7200 RPM (Western Figital 500GB) and I suffer way less problems than I read in review, I have less pop-ups, shorter loading times, shorter installation times, less frame drops and the such.

Do you have upgraded the HDD of your PS3s?
Because changing it with a faster one helps a lot.
I don't have frame rate issues with DmC and never had terrible issues with Skyrim (yes the framerate dropped but never to unplayability levels even after 120 hours pre-patch)

Devil May Cry 4 was released almost 5 years ago with a much slimmer install base, at least 1/5 of the current install base.
This puts the data in a much more impressive frame.
