Why are people saying it's Sony's fault? Microsoft fronted the cash, so they're getting the game. That's how the world works. It's also not a big deal because Final Fantasy wasn't always just on Playstation. The gaming industry is about money, and how they can make a game good enough or cash in on a current hype (rock music, movies, and sports ) to get your money. Welcome to the real world.

Edit: And I'll be buying it on PS3 roflcopter ;-)

It doesn't look too bad. I like the campiness of the mortal kombat games, so adding dc will make it the ultimate geekfest. I'm also happy that there are fatalities as the end of the video confirms. Also, quit worrying about the comic universe rules because they do alternate universes as well. This is an example of it, so quit whining.

Mortal Kombat also never really had a good story. The first movie they made was basically Enter the Dragon with Mortal Kombat Characters. Coo...

Vash the Stampede is not a video game character, xbox needs halo like a hooker needs blow, playstation needs spikey haired anime heros like a fat kid needs cake, and this guy is a total idiot for saying that he has spent more time in normandy than WWII veterans. I know there is no harm in what he said, but it's disrespectful for those who have faced those horrors. Also, WWII games aren't too bad, they've just been overdone for the past 10 years. It's still one of the most entertaining wars...

To quote O Brother Where Art Thou..."and stay out of the Woolworths!!!"

I don't really see the harm in selling a violent game to a teen. I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and Doom, but I turned out ok. People argue that games are getting more realistic, but at the time, Mortal Kombat was almost photorealistic.

Game QA is pretty easy, but it becomes redundant after a while. There is a lot of paperwork and it makes you not want to play anything when you get home. Only do it if you're interested in getting into the industry. Depending on the amount of bugs, you can write close to 10-15 page bug reports everyday. It's a good way to familiarize new or future employees with the current and future projects. Alpha testing comes before beta testing, so you'll end up playing a game that doesn't even loo...

I agree with a lot of points in this article. Halo 1 isn't terrible, but the others weren't all that impressive if you ask me. My dislike for Halo is that it kind of ruined the nerd community. If you played online shooters on the pc back in the day, it just wasn't a socially acceptable thing to talk about without getting stuffed in a locker.

The definition of what a nerd is has been skewed. Take for example a Sex in the City fan saying "I'm such a nerd because I own the ...

was awesome. I'd love to see another game like that. They should just let Namco make a Tera Kasi sequel, I'd buy it. The lightsaber combat in that was actually kind of cool because if you side stepped with r2 and l2, the lightsaber actually blocked in that direction. The critics must not have knew how to play it.

The new soul caliber seems to be shaping up quite nicely in more ways than one. *shh I was talking about the boobs ;-)*

Konami was gracious enough to give out the game to reviewers before the street date. Maybe Konami saw that these publications would try to knock the game down and limited the bs they're allowed to spill. I don't really think the install and cutscene should really matter. Does it occur to anyone that someone spent some serious time on that cutscene? Maybe EGM will get Metal Gear 5 (if they use another character) after the street date next time. That'll hurt some sales. The industry can p...

A lot of GTA fans are not hardcore gamers. Most people I know that are into it don't even do the missions. They just run around and try to cause as much havoc as possible. Casual gamers will probably relate GTA IV to PS3. I mean there are a lot of people holding off to buy a PS3 just for this game. I'm grouping these people under the gamers that just buy Madden and GTA games. As for who is going to buy PS3 or X360 out of these people, it's really going to depend on the design issue of p...

I don't think either should be bashed, but my time with Leopard has been a more enjoyable experience than vista.

1.) Bootcamp plays all windows games, depending on the system you own.
2.) Macs are upgradable, it depends on your system. Laptops and Imacs only give access to change ram and hds, while Mac Pros allow you to change the other parts such as the video card. Sersiously, go to newegg, they're readily available. You can max out at 4gb of ram on a Macbook for $90....

he must've really wanted that macbook air if he put that much work into it. Safari isn't a bad browser, it's just not idiot proof enough for some people. Before firefox 3, it was the fastest browser in benchmark tests, and it comes with svg support built in unlike ie, which makes you get a stupid adobe plugin, but Opera is the king of svg if you ask me. It handles SMIL animation right out of the box, and an experimental video version as well to embed videos into svg. The big three names i...

That is true since Microsoft is once again busy copying features. Can windows do multiple desktops, does it have ssh running natively, does it know that it doesn't completely own the mbr when other os's are installed, and here is a features comparison to vista. http://www.engadget.com/200...

You can also read .doc files with textedit, which is the equivalence of note...

Umm...how'd I get a disagree by saying xp can't handle more than 3gb of ram? I just found it funny that I've seen some retailers try to get people to move up to 4gb of ram when the os doesn't even implement it. Xp is still my friend because I still love playing source engine games. It would be nice to have that extra gig of ram detected though. I'm also being generous with my numbers because it's a little less than 3.

but it only detects up to 3 gb of ram and I have 4 gb of ram, so I chose Leopard to get full functionality out of my laptop. I do have them side by side though, and they compliment each other very well.

I have no beef with IE, I just don't use it. It has made me some cash though by cleaning up people's spyware and recommending other browsers. Safari and Opera all the way baby!!!

One port isn't bad on a laptop. You can daisy chain 127 devices off of one usb port with about 1.5 mb of bandwidth. I'd like to see someone do it. You'd be like Jacob Marley, but covered in electronics.

I don't see where Macs are exactly hip and trendy. Yes, they have a nice design. Shame on them for not giving you a boring plastic case that looks like everything else. Most companies copy from them for laptop design. Their notebooks only make up about 4% of laptop market. I'm sure it's more by now because I'm seeing more people buy them. The operating system is easy to use, but I don't see why that's such a problem to so many people.

I'm a computer science major and I own ...

"Consider: In 1970, 69 percent of 25-year-old and 85 percent of 30-year-old white men were married; in 2000, only 33 percent and 58 percent were, respectively. And the percentage of young guys tying the knot is declining as you read this. Census Bureau data show that the median age of marriage among men rose from 26.8 in 2000 to 27.5 in 2006 – a dramatic demographic shift for such a short time period.

That adds up to tens of millions more young men blissfully free of mortgag...
