I found a strange glitch that happens every time I turn this game on. My 360 sits alone in the corner, and I'm exhausted at work the next day. :-P

Sounds a little fanboyish (I know lol), but I didn't really notice any glitches that made me think that they would be news worthy. I think .nets and blogs are a waste of time when it comes to any kind of game journalism anyways. Play and decide for yourself because that's how I bought ODST and had a decent time.

Bioshock is not in the Unreal 3 engine. It's in a heavily modified version of Unreal 2.

With $1500 they could've bought a ps3, xbox 360, some games, and a lower model laptop that gets more than 10 minutes of battery life or a pretty decent gaming desktop.

First of all, I'd like to know what 630p is to begin with. It helps when an author is actually technically competent when writing an article. This article is crap and should be rejected because the claims can't be backed up.

Also, these are two totally different systems running the game, so there are bound to be graphical differences. Have you ever seen games look identical when you compare two computers? Get a life and play the game instead of making false claims on the inte...

There's only two ways to suck at this game, and that's to be the one that always startles the witch or doesn't pick up a pipe bomb or molotov c0cktail (stupid filter). A noob can make it through with the shotgun pretty easily. I actually like to fight the witch because she's really not that hard if everyone shoots at her. You really have to be an idiot if you get elitist with this game because it's pretty much a fragfest. I think the hardest part of this game is playing as the zombies in ...

I don't think any of the consoles are really maxed out. When it comes to graphics, the 360 has a little edge with traditional PC methods, while the PS3 can handle a little more of the fun physics, which are processor intensive. Many strides have been made with openGL in recent years, so Sony could eventually end up with the edge, which I believe it has a couple of times. I tend to like games that are interactive instead of panoramic games like Myst, so I hope to see me more environment int...

Wow that's careless and should've never happened. Did a freshman in college or someone who bought C++ programming for dummies program this thing? It happens though...in internships lol.

I don't think this will benefit kids at all or anyone for that matter (unless they don't plan on learning programming in the future). In fact, this kind of garbage makes for bad programming in the future. Garbage in garbage out. I think doing so little to manipulate the engine will only cause impatience if these people would like to dabble with "real" programming. My college switched to Alice my last year and it was really fun to help out the freshmen with projects because they ...

I'll be the judge of it after I play it on a friend's console. For now, I'll be patiently waiting for LBP to get censored to appease the conservatives that are a afraid to offend Muslims, but aren't afraid to have holy wars with them.

^^ and what's with the disagree? Lighten up, it's just an unreal 3 mod that I might check out. Sheesh.

AAA only means that the game was built with current gen technology. Lighting, shading, physics, and other game engine features are examples.

Anywho, I may have to pick up a 360 for this.

I'm not a big fan of Microsoft in general, but that is really good of them. :-)

5681d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

The only reason Windows still has a large market share is because Microsoft provided appropriate tools and forced their standards on the market. This kind of happened when Steve Jobbs left Apple a while back, but since his return, things have changed significantly. Apple is supplying better support to developers with xCode tools and openGL is beginning to improve. When it comes to pc gaming, Microsoft really forced directx on the market, and even John Carmack wasn't too pleased by that. ...

it could've used some more play testing before it shipped. I forgave the ai sometimes giving out, but in the final boss battle, it's just unacceptable in quality assurance. My other big grip was that the Sarlac level had holes in the walls that would allow you to fall through the level. Other than those issues, I loved the game, but that might be my Star Wars fanboyism flag waving proudly.

just buying a $200 x360 or a ps3 if they're so hard up to play the game. I spent more than that to get my old pc ready for Doom III back when it came out, and that pc was originally bought to play it. There just wouldn't be a large of enough audience to play this game on pc because you don't develop for the high end machine. It's cheaper and more profitable to just make the game for the consoles, and they're not losing sales to pirates and people are not spending absurd amounts of money to...

The goal for the game is to run on a target machine, which is not a rig capable of running Crysis, so it's going to run how wow does, scaling based on your machine's capabilities. I mean look at wow sales compared to any game with high performance demands. Art is where it's at, and a gimmicky art style that looks good on just about any post millennium machine is what sells to the masses. It's also the case with the wildly successful Half-life series because both games were designed to run ...

Solid Snake was deceived by the Patriots to do the things he did. The story is about how Solid Snake and the rest of the world were affected by the sins of their forefathers. You know how a cold blooded killer climbs through a microwave corridor to save the world. It's also a story about how the characters end up atoning for their pasts as well. The true villain is the AI that made the decision to keep wars going to sustain the war economy. Someone, must've skipped the cut scenes, sheesh...

I'm not surprised, I mean G4 aired more about Halo 3 more than they play Cops and Cheaters. G4 isn't actually the last word in video games if you ask me. It's a shameless exploit of gamers and how corporate bigwigs perceive us as a whole.

"Youtube, halo, attractive gamer girls, and gnomes with gadgets YAY!!!"

I say this, but I still tune in to see Olivia Munn every once in a while ;-P

this is actually flame bait. It's a neutral article presented as flame bait by the poster. Carmack seems to have equal love for the machines as should all of us. Also, the target machine when developing games isn't the strongest machine, it's the machine the will run the game mediocre, but still look nice. Seriously, people need to quit posting things out of context. It's getting to be like Fox news and MSNBC with the whole Barack Obama scandals that get invented left and right.

I wouldn't be too certain of both coming to the consoles. I mean that's developer media not meant for the public, but I bet with marketing there's exclusivity for the characters. Haha you wouldn't believe what load screens are before games are finished.
