I've come to believe one thing... While trophies are all good news for the consumer and player, to Sony they are stat trackers. They tell Sony what games people have played and what accounts are most active. You get a trophy on 1 account are you going to get it on another? Probably not. Maybe, but only those who like to hear the sound "cha ching" will do that.
As I laid out last week on the website... Uncharted 2 sodl 3.1 million units to date, yet is registered o...
I'm putting mine up on ebay tomorrow. Selling it for 30 bucks... What I find funny is that I gave the game the same raiting and yet people bashed it. These guys do it and it's accepted. They gave the same reasons I gave and you all accept them at face value... Sad.
Heavy Rain isn't a game... It's a concept. I said this last week when I finished the game and I'll continue to say it. People are setting themselves up for something they're not going to get and that's sad.
Sure there are... Its just that 5 to 6 million of them haven't be sold off yet. If Sony were Microsoft they'd be right in saying 40 million + PSN accounts, since Microsoft likes to talk shipped not sold. however, Sony likes to talk sold not shipped.
40 million sure... Double and tripple accounts, you bet. I'd say closer to 22 million actual accounts in all honesty. Viable ones that people use and DL things to, maybe even less.
What I love about all xbox 360 games is this... Biased media sites always give them 10's and praise them as the 2nd comings, yet after the fact when the follow up is set for release they always say things like --
"This is the game that the previous one should've been"
"What the last one failed to acheive, this one does in spades"
"In everyway this is the game they set out to make last time around"
If you feel this way....
Uncharted 3 is gonna be set in the Sahara desert with some other location thought to house Pyramids. The second half is based in the ocean and deep seas. Diving is said, speculated, to take a huge role in this one.
I'd say I'm about 9 away from the screen with how the living room is set right now. I moved the Ps3 into my office and a 42in Phillips to play it on and sit a fair distance, maybe not 10ft but it looks great. Looks much better than it did on the 52, that's for sure.
I think games like R&C also suffer on bigger tv's and you're right, the further you get from the tv the better the picture... Maybe instead of a bigger screen I need a bigger living room. That's my next goa...
Trine was good fun but don't play it on a 52 inch Bravia screen... In fact, don't play Ps3 at all on a 52in bravia tv. The graphics get a major downgrade... I've since switched back to a 42 in tv for my Ps3 gaming and will leave the 52 in for movies only. Sony's Ps3 just doesn't stretch well.
ahhahahahahahahahahahaha oh man. Thanks for the good laugh. I often find solace in other people's idiocy... Believe me, I have a fair share of my own quick jab moments but never ballz out stupidity.
Killzone 2 number crunches Halo reach's graphics, man. Reach looks good, in a Resistance 2 kinda way... but it doesn't contend with the big dog.
And I'm aware of that fact, that's why I had laid out that it wouldn't work today or this gen... But when we go fully digital distribution. That is when this concept and vehicle would be viable. I know full well the cost of manufacturing the 3 versions on disc and shipping and then shelving it in stores would be more than what the returns would be. That is why it would have to take place in a digital distributed gaming society. One that's not too far away. One that doesn't require manufa...
Guys I'm telling you... It's not Twisted Metal. It's an action/adventure/RPG like Zelda and or Alundra. Disagree all you want but you will see what I mean around DICE. I know some of you are upset by this and choose not to hear it but it's the truth.
I'm on my second play thru of the game and not much has changed... I'm putting it up on Ebay tomorrow by the way. Selling it for 30 bucks.
I got Flower for 5 bucks finally... I've wanted it for awhile but never had the gumption to go all in for it at 10 bucks. I loved Flow, for what it was, but Flower wasn't sparking with me. I'm glad I got it. Me and my wife sat around fiddiling with it for a bit... Got to like plant 4 or city 4 or whatever. It was a nice diversion.
What I feel they need to do is add more retro games, though. I play Namco Classic Arcade daily anymore. I have a 300,000 + score on Galaga by th...
Sprite based games all age well... It's the polygonal ones that don't. Playstation games and Jaguar games and Turbo Grafix 16 games and N64 games... Those haven't aged well at all. It's strange cos they house some of the most memorable gaming moments for some, but they just look rubbish now.
Rubin is a very level headed guy and we had the awesome privilege of meeting him 2 years in a row and talking to him for more than 15 min at one instance. He's the most brilliant minded developer around. Don't discredit what he says and take it for face value... He isn't out and out proposing every time we boot up we get out our credit cards. He's talking figuratively. A sub based app is what he's going off of. Like the play "Said" game for free "sub" the game for mor...
The game we've known about since last year around E-3 is an action/adventure/rpg type game in the style of Zelda or Alundra... From the 4 pics we seen of it that's what it looks like, only on the PSN with some pretty polish.
Speed doesn't translate well in games because when you get too much of it you lose too much control... There needs to be a way to let us have complete control over the character, yet still feel like we're faster than everyone else.
Bullet Time would be one route... But the speed just isn't there. That coupled with something else... Some other formula would work wonders. Why is it that the greatest super hero of all time "THE FLASH" still doesn't have a videogame? W...
What most of you all are probably unaware of is that Comcast, which is probably 80% of your IP provider, can and absolutely will throttle your account if you DL in ecesse of your account.
Say you have 22mb service they give you a 250gb before they cap you off and boot you back to 1 to 4 mb service. Trust me... I know this all too well. A good friend of mine works in their CO office. Say you have 50mb service, like I got, they give you a max of 300 gb before they cap you back ...
While teams like Media Molecule and Q Games, for instance, were around perhaps... They weren't very well known and if you say you've been a fan or have followed their work all along you're lying. Sony built those companies into what they are today. Without Sony they'd be nowhere. Same with Naughtydog and Insomniac. All talented Developers, but just because you're talented doesn't mean anything in this status quo, let's be like everyone else society. If talented mattered over image, Matth...
From the little bits we've pieced together and what we know for 100% fact we can say for certain the next uncharted is and has the following elements in it.
1 - It has a set in a Desert somewhere in the Sahara.
2 - It also has diving and an open ocean and boat setting.
3 - Pyramids are a key element to the games art and story boards.
4 - Drake might not be playable in the offset. It appears he's been kiddapped and lost in the desert at one point.
5...
