It really doesn't matter.
XSS is marketed as a "up to 1440p" console not 4K. It is only 4K for movie playback. XOX was marketed as a 4K console.
I have one regular HD TV where I have a XSS. It is perfectly fine for that TV. The only thing I wish was that it had a larger storage drive internally.
First they started releasing good content in June with Sea of Thieves Pirates expansion, Flight Simulator on console in July, and Psychonauts 2 in August.
Second, Sony's first parties have been dry since June. So, while I can agree MS was backloaded for the year, it seems that Sony was front loaded. The drought from Sony's first parties since June has not been good. And here we are in the holiday season without a Sony first party exclusive. Last year people were ...
So what publisher would you choose and why?
Remember this is about 2021, not 2020.
@theindiearmy
Fair enough, but I don't think too many FPS are scoring 85 or higher the last few years. 85+ is reserved for the best of the best shooters.
(Personally, I don't know why shooters can't score higher. Certain genres just get lambasted. FPS, Simulators, RTS, and most arcade racers. Meanwhile action adventures and RPGs get the glory)
@ThePacemaker
Same on Metacritic.
Just Cause is a TPS not a FPS. And Just Cause's story is non-existent really.
Ya, I hear you.
Far Cry - Just more the same Far Cry
CoD - Well, it seems every campaign fall another notch
Battlefield - They've just abandoned campaigns
Nice to see a decent FPS story again. And I loved when I heard there is 25 hours of gameplay (Heroic difficulty).
86 on Metacritic, when was the last time a FPS got that kind of metacritic rating?
@Lexreborn2
I am fine with them making two versions of the game and giving people options as you say.
So, people should have the option on which version they want to download.
I think it is wrong no matter how it is sliced. And it is wrong for any game that does it.
The game shipped with SP and MP. The PS Plus version does not have SP. People can call it whatever they want, but it is not the full original retail version on PS Plus.
I don't know why people are saying this is all Gearbox.
Sony has to agree to put games on PS Plus. Gearbox just doesn't unilaterally get to put their games there.
Because it would break their budget to bring it to NA?
You do realize it is still in Beta right? These are the kinds of things betas find.
Assess the quality on Dec 8th when the product is officially released. Right, now though during beta that is what betas are for is to find stuff they may have overlooked.
That is like saying the house is really nice, except the construction done is falling apart.
Good is not only gameplay, story, etc. It is also whether it was well-constructed to begin with. Cyberpunk just wasn't ready to ship and they tried to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. I applaud gamers that chose not to accept that and reviewers who knocked it because it wasn't ready yet.
Too many games ship not nearly done yet now-a-days. At leas...
This is the trend. Indie gets exclusivity with a console. If the game does well it finds other platforms. If it doesn't, then the game just kind of disappears.
Ya, we knew that before Marvel Avengers was released. Or at least I thought that would be obvious.
After the game released and it was so bad it became even more obvious.
Switch is going for sure. Not long before it puts PS4 in its driver's mirror. Then it is going after the biggest sellers of all time. Has a good possibility it will pass PS2.
This story should be labelled an opinion piece.
If the title was, "New live action trailers for Halo Infinite" it would be a "Trailer"...
But since the title is an opinion, it should be an opinion piece.
Agreed. A fun game. And hopefully if there is DLC it gets more gamers to play it.
Ya, I bought it day one and have been in a holding pattern every since.
CDR officially was the last straw for me buying day one games anymore.
GamePass is simply a game purchasing model. I use it to play MS games on day one. And it allows me to buy a lot of games later (and cheaper) then I would normally.
I can see it being good for casuals, but that is not the only use.
