It's a free world, the choice is yours.
Myself, on October 15, 2014, I forked out $800 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One... I'm all good with my current soon to be "old" version consoles :-) I'll not be replacing either with their "refresh" models.
HAPPY GAMING, PEOPLE.
In the video at 12:42, Linus is playing Crysis 3.
Not in 2016. Probably in 2017 (at E3) is when I believe Microsoft will announce the slim revision.
I have a huge backlog of PS3/X360 games, half of which are unfinished and yet to be played. My gaming resolution for 2016 is to at least go through 2 per month.
I need to wind down these last-gen titles before my library of PS4/X1 amounts.
I am still on Windows 7; upgrading to Windows 10 on my secondary PC this month but holding out upgrade on my primary PC till May.
WOW, I had no idea Bungie Studio went through such a horror development process with Destiny. Nice article,... it brings to light about Destiny's status on the vague story, "harsh" reviews, Staten's departure (great writer by the way).
True. But for me wanting to replace/upgrade the HDD for an SSD in the PS4 isn't for performance reasons. It's more of a want than a need... I'm moving away from HDDs to SSDs in my devices :-)
SSD upgrade for my PS4 is on the horizon, though I've had no issues with the PS4 since I bought the console back in November 2014.
My overall experience has been great.
My future upgrade plan is anywhere between a 1TB to 2TB SSD drive in the PS4, same as the Xbox One though an external solution of the SSD.
It doesn't matter whether it was running on PC, PS4 or X1. What matters is the game... what matters here is that we got to see Fallout 4, which some of us will be playing this holiday. The game and it's mechanics looks great.
Personally, I do expect an upgrade and downgrade difference from the initial reveal versus the final build. Initial reveals are basically TECH DEMOs and DEMOs because until they are released, the games are still in the developmental stage. Until the product (game) is released, what I get to see in the reveals/trailers, to me is just a WORK IN PROGRESS THAT IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
I agree with you, Gwiz. I played Deus Ex back in 2002... I loved it, and it instantly became my favorite game of all time. The Deus Ex Human Divided trailer did what it did, and it got me EXCITED.
The console manufactures' first party developers have pretty much left last-gen behind and focusing development/funding to the current-gen. It's mostly the third-party (multiplatform) developers who are still supporting last-gen, but even then, they're mostly likely on their last run shifting development to current-gen.
When I was watching the teaser trailer, I thought "Did Activision hack Square Enix stealing one of their marketing videos for Deus Ex?" LOL Because the theme for the teaser is written Deus Ex all over it. I've a strong feeling Black Ops III will feel like playing a fast paced FPS (without the RPG elements) in the Deus Ex universe.
But then again poppinslops is right that science and technology is moving in the directions of augmentations hence such themes employ...
Please, let the showing and reveals be IN-ENGINE trailers and gameplay footage... cut out CGI-based formats/presentations.
Likewise with the PC for me, which is my primary gaming system. The PC being my primary game station is why I actually bought the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 late in their cycle,... I bought them in October of 2012. In this current generation, I decided to get the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One much much earlier. I buy the consoles for their exclusives only but anything multiplatform is on PC for me... you've got to love Valve's Steam, it's GREAT :-)
I bought both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2014 when I traveled to the USA... I live in Malawi, Africa. I love 'em both.
That's some sweeeet lonewolf action against the Covenant
I love GAMING... hence loving each of the platforms that give me access to the virtual world, which are my Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Two of my copies are in that 65 million.
