I totally agree with the author.
Unfortunately the future of gaming for every company except Nintendo will be a Netflix style game streaming service.
Fortunately for those of us who prefer physical media, that future is still a long ways off. There are still some very serious technological hurdles to overcome. However, companies like Sony and MS are already laying the ground work for the gaming industry of tomorrow.
It's crazy to think that Uncharted came out so long ago. I replayed the series last year as part of the Nathan Drake Collection, and the game felt brand new again, even after all these years. Such an enduring franchise.
Totally agree. Koizumi is the new face of Nintendo PR. He's a great front man.
He want's $10.000 and so far he's only raised $7. Good luck with that.
Nintendo will shut this down quick.
I remember a time when people gave away mods for free because it was a badge of honor to create something truly great.
Creating ill will towards your company / brand and alienating potential consumers is always a bad idea. Also, from a strictly commercial point of view, leaving a very large potential customer group unsatisfied is just bad business.
PlayStation is the McDonald's of gaming.
If any company can pull it off it's them.
Of course not. There's still another upgraded version of the PS4 in the works.
Switch is king. Vanilla box > Vanilla console > Combined SKUs > Vanilla box.
This is a terrible decision that has backfired and created a lot of ill will and negative feelings towards the company. This move has definitely tarnished the Nintendo brand.
I certainly hope so. E3 is the best time of the year.
Unfortunately what's happening is that companies are starting to realize there's more return in taking the "direct to consumer" approach. E3 is a massive investment. it's very costly, especially for smaller companies.
Also, sadly, websites like NeoGAF and 4chan have created a generation of angry, spoiled, entitled little shits that literally hate everything. These folks will spen...
I have never seen a more worthy product receive such a lukewarm reception.
Click bait by a low quality attention whore with no credibility.
And yes, I agree that the game is not great, but I still don't agree with this click bait garbage.
This was a false report generated on April 1st.
Stories like this one are part of a tradition among fanboys. Whenever a new console launches there's a rush to find something wrong with it, and then exaggerate those problems. This is done for various reasons, fanboy hate, click bait, etc.
Whenever anything negative is said about Nintendo, and NeoGAF is listed as a source, you should automatically be suspicious. That site has no credibility and a terri...
This couldn't be any more MEH.
M-E-H.
Trust me. I want to be wrong on this one. The Vita was such an incredible system. Still worth owning.
Sony does have a patent for a new handheld device. but it's more likely their answer to the Switch. Sony always follows Nintendo's lead. If the Switch really takes off you can bet that Sony will release a similar completing product.
This should be sourced as Twitter and not NeoGAF.
Click bait at it's finest.
Sony isn't making PS Vita 2.
This game looks so good it actually hinders my gameplay. There have been too many moments where I stopped to say "wow, will you look at that!" Only to get killed by an enemy.
"Microsoft envisions"
Actually it's Sony that's leading the way with PS Now. But both companies want what you have mentioned. No more used and sharing games. No more pricey hardware.
