The agenda press, which is prevalent here on N4G, is already sharpening their swords. Whenever there is a new console release, fanboy brigades and marketing scum from such places as NeoGAF will rush to find something wrong with the console that they can complain about and exploit. You've already seen them fail at finding a branding in their attacks. Some of the themes they have tried already are "will X hold back Y" and the classic "there are no exclusives."
...
The world wide gap is too big to overcome. Xbox will gain some ground in the US and finish the generation in a good place. PS4 Pro, Scorpio and Switch are like a do-over for the entire generation.
I'm ashamed of myself for forgetting Days Gone. That's at the top of my list when it comes to most wanted PS4 exclusives. I'm a sucker for zombie games.
Yeah, and if they could actually get a few units in stores I'm sure they'd sell even more.
Not at all. The system will remain in the lead for the rest of the generation. We have an Uncharted spin off in the works as well as TLOU2, the latter of which is sure to be GOTY material. This title feels very much like click bait.
This is the future of gaming.
Probably making it ready for Sony's next hardware upgrade.
Yes it is. Don't be ridiculous. Switch isn't the new portable. It's a console with a portable element.
New portable is already in the works.
Sony always follows Nintendo's lead. Sony already has a design for a Switch style gaming device for the PS4. People have mistakenly identified it as the Vita 2.
Reminds me of Paperboy, one of my favorite retro arcade titles. I need to play this. Seems really fun.
It's going to be tough to determine a winner of E3 this year. If TLOU2 makes a significant debut, meaning actual gameplay and a release date, then Sony will win E3. Although I believe both Nintendo and Microsoft will have lots more to show than Sony, TLOU2 is bigger than any one thing either company might have on display.
The sheer amount of critical praise the original TLOU received made it a cultural phenomenon. It also had a tremendous social impact. The game stands ...
Nope. 3DS support will continue for at least another year. New portable at E3 2018.
Overall I agree with the author, it does look like a solid game. The challenge of this series for me is that I'm not sure I want to commit my life to playing one game all the time, constantly grinding to get better weapons and armor. I know theres also PvP, but the core mechanic of this whole series is grinding. You have to like that gameplay style.
Nope. After the show Nintendo and MS will be the talk of E3. The Scorpio is truly impressive and MS has some great exclusives and other surprises up their sleeves.
Nintendo will have a solid roster of titles that will definitely please their hardcore fanbase. No one who owns a Switch or a 3DS will walk away disappointed.
Steam is one of the best things to happen to gaming. it represents the future gaming. Polygon has always been complete and utter garbage.
Nintendo and Microsoft will both have more to show than Sony. Both have more bang for the buck, more substance and more games. Nintendo especially. They've got some great stuff up their sleeves.
Will reappear as one of many unannounced Scorpio exclusives.
More combat, less story. That's always been my problem with this brand. Too much chatter. And it's not even interesting chatter. The stories in these games are always so bland but the gameplay is great. Hoping for the best with this one.
Agenda piece garbage written by a fanboy. You don't even know if Scorpio "lacks exclusives" because they have not been announced yet.
Typical front page N4G disinfo garbage. Shameful.
There's plenty of exclusives. Out now and waiting in the wings. This is an old fanboy running theme and I don't buy it.
