"one includes $60-70 games day 1, the other doesn't."

Here's a list of all the $60 to $70 games I got with Game Pass this year...

Yeah, if Microsoft is overlooking the fact that Bloodborne was published and funded by Sony from day one, it just goes to show Microsoft isn't afraid to twist things to fit their narrative. It really calls into question the truth behind all the other games they named.

I had a pretty good chuckle too.... Over twenty years and a software company with all the financial resources in the world can't compete with Sony on exclusive software.

Activision's games will really shine in Microsoft's incompetent hands. Maybe once they ruin Call of Duty they can buy GTA too.

"can see sense"

Yup. Mmmhmm.

Care to explain how it makes sense for consumers to want a company like Microsoft that's been trying to effectively compete with Sony for over 20 years, and despite being one of the biggest software companies on the planet, has practically no software for their game console?

Care to explain how it makes sense to want a company that can't manage their own studios effectively to take over co...

Hypotheticals where "if the roles were reversed, you'd act like a clown like me" don't do you any favors, pal.

Go play Midnight Suns if you want Spiderman on Xbox. Or maybe ask Xbox to make a Spiderman game, rather than crying about how Sony actually develops games for their console.

The lack of replies just go to show those downvotes are just dopes mad about the truth.

Microsoft told the EC what they thought they wanted to hear, that they had little financial incentive to make games exclusive. As soon as the Bethesda deal got approved, Microsoft made everything they could exclusive to substitute for their non-existent first party line up.

The FTC is right. Microsoft talks, but they are more than happy to mislead regulators to push th...

Ah yes, Spider-Man. The character that's still appearing in Xbox games.

Maybe instead of crying about a game made by PlayStation only appearing on PlayStation, you should ask Microsoft to develop a Marvel game... Maybe Thor, or Iron Man, or Hulk, or Black Panther, or Black Widow, or Doctor Strange, or Hawkeye, or Fantastic 4, or the X-Men, or Captain America. Not like there's a shortage.

Maybe Microsoft can remaster the years of mediocre Spider-Ma...

Comparing developing games to spending $60- something billion for an entire publisher is a special kind of idiotic.

@Orchard

Go ahead and take the EC's word. There is no contradiction.

A quote directly from the FTC complaint...

"Microsoft assured the European Commission (“EC”) during its antitrust review of the ZeniMax purchase that Microsoft would not have the incentive to withhold ZeniMax titles
from rival consoles. But, shortly after the EC cleared the transaction, Microsoft made public its decision to make several of the newly ...

EA would love if Call of Duty was exclusive. Then they don't have to try as hard with Battlefield because it's the only competitor on PlayStation. No Starfield or Elder Scrolls on PlayStation? That's great for Mass Effect and Dragon Age on PS.

Of course Sony's the only one that cares. Every other lazy, anti-competitive company that can't build quality games in-house is thrilled Microsoft is eliminating competition on the biggest console.

Yeah, let's put Call of Duty and Elder Scrolls in the hands of the guy responsible for Halo and Fable for years. That's gone so well.

All you Xbox haters must have missed Phil at the VGAs...

Geoff Keighley: "Now I want to turn things over to Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, for a first ever global World Premiere megaton exclusive announcement..."

Phil Spencer: "Thanks Geoff! I can't tell you how excited me and my T-shirt are to be here, on a show that celebrates all things video games... from the biggest games from the massive, all-powerful publishers like Sony, to small i...

"Microsoft won't take Call of Duty off PlayStation because doing so would be a bad business decision, Spencer said. PlayStation is the most popular console platform for the Call of Duty series, he said, and removing it from the system would take away "billions" in revenue."

Yet they try to make themselves out to be the good consumer-friendly company by offering Sony a "deal" to keep Call of Duty on PS.

Sony's not stup...

Damn, this might be the best rebuttal to all the "aNtIcOnSuMeR" nonsense getting shoved down our throats.

You know nobody gives two shits about the CEO of a cereal company when spending $2 more on a box of Fruit Loops, but everyone loses their damn minds when games go up $10 in price for the first time in 17 years.

They have some PC games too. I got a Steam key for Deus Ex GOTY, Invisible War, and Human Revolution for $3.30.
