i don't use my CPU for rendering 3D graphics...
congrats to EA, they finally wrangled good rate for Sony...
that's a good value. if only CUDA wasn't just on nVidia, most of my rendering software make use of CUDA...
i definitely want Sony to give them a new try at Syphon Filter, we need more tactical espionage action games...
i blame the Unreal Engine. why couldn't they have just used the Uncharted engine? Madagascar proved it can do open world...
they tried that with 3, XBox tried that with the One. i observe they lose focus easily, then are bewildered when their customers ask for games instead...
and, still at $299 MSRP. when that price cut finally hits...
there is no fight unless Sweeney tells Apple, Google and the others to adopt their unsustainable split and not just Steam, this is just a man high on money from Fortnite and UE royalties, thinking he can knock Valve off using monopoly tactics...
if you want me to include that, i can consider EPIC a monopoly wielding it's hold on game developers to influence the market negatively...
right...
mind your own business, Sweeney. it's not even equal to Steam yet. without Fortnite backing you up that 12% won't fund the same features as Steam...
of course it won't, as long as there are numerous configurations to account for, developers won't prioritize optimization and new programming techniques when it comes to games on PC. they'll still rely on brute-force. low to mid-range PC users are out-of-luck for AA and AAA games...
you didn't get temporal re-projection and checkerboard rendering from PC game devs, and now, console devs will probably take multi-threading seriously now that consoles will have...
i believe it is, read your own Sherman Act...
i wonder what the FTC would say to EPIC's actions, never mind the anti-trust laws in the EU. for a company that isn't a monopoly, it is sure acting like one...
ah, Ben Kuchera. nevermind...
if the PS4 line gets a price cut before the PS5 launches, would be indicative of the launch price? PS4 line is due for a price cut soon...
goes to show how different the direction was for Sony then, their online was just an add-on to the console. while XBox started as a console manufacturer, online was always their end goal. i credit XBL as the superior paid online service when it launched, and probably still is...
this is a gamble for those who need to change their names...
or, perhaps those people should just return the game and ask for a refund. that'll give them a clearer message...
name's too awesome to not get canonized...
oh, you mean the subjective "context" of what a success is? heh, the only real context of its success is in comparison with the other VR platforms in the VR market...
what went wrong is that Sony Music didn't put Fate/Grand Order on it...
