It absolutely is how it works in all games with police implemented. Go back to the old GTAs, Driver, or even coming more recent to True Crime, Watchdogs, etc... it's all the same. Commit a crime and police spawn pretty close, if not directly on top of you.

Well, I'm not a fan Gamepass, PS Now, or any other than stream service that can remove games nilly willy. I can see how it's a good value while you're playing what's there, but I prefer to physically own my media. Console makers can't come slap the disc out of my hand like they can with online services.
To be perfectly fair, we're comparing a buggy Ubisoft game built for the previous gen being patched on brand new consoles. It's like comparing two F1 cars by putting them on a go kart track.
That GUI to game load is much shorter than loading the worlds, and some are quite minimal in this generation anyway. Plus, I bet many of them probably won't change dramatically as the games are likely still going to have splash screens for the developers, publishers, tools, etc.
Hope it's not like my experience of India work outsourcing, or they'll find themselves going back to fix a bunch of cars that are missing things like their wheels.

Unless they moved into other parts of the invasion like Iki and mainland Japan, you'd end up with the same background story in Tsushima. The Mongols rolled the island pretty well both times, so I'd be afraid the game would basically end up as a rehash, which can be a death bell for a single player series.
To me, it made perfect sense precisely because it was about revenge. Not that revenge has to be enacted (although, it seems like Ellie did much worse to her in the long run), but what letting revenge consume your life can cost you. For both of these women they realized far too late of blind hatred's futility and for both it cost them almost everything.

I'm honestly surprised at how many people are turned off by a non-black color for a console. I don't remember this much "Ermahgerd" when previous generations of consoles had a variety of colors, including a bunch of gray, white, brown, and even purple.
That's also why we see more and more MTs, DLC, and less variety of games out there. Counting for inflation, game prices went down while dev costs went up and that trend can't go on forever.
I may be in the minority in this, but I think this game could be amazing in a fully 3D world with freedom of movement and vision. Take something like Breath of the Wild's map, shrink it down, and give players the ability to plant, build, move, edit terrain, etc.
I doubt Nintendo would ever go for that big of a revamp of the series, but I think it could be a lot of fun.
Honestly, the cross-gen/backwards compatibility is the only reason I'm considering a PS5 at launch. Doesn't look like there will be a lot of next-gen stuff for a while and I still have a healthy backlog to work through on a console starting to have mechanical issues.
They only hit 240Hz using the smoothing algorithms like MotionFlow, TruMotion, etc. The TVs don't really have a refresh rate that high, they're inserting extra artificial frames to look smoother to viewers. It may have changed recently, but when I was in the market last year there were no native 240Hz TVs out there.
The trailer literally has the character hiding in the grass, of course it has some stealth elements.
I guess it's okay in the sense that it's not overtly racist or threatening anyone's life, but if the army seriously wants those people, they shouldn't have an ad where the first words are an insult to them. If I was walking by that ad, it'd be more likely to make me anti-military than it would make me want to join up.
Story issues aside, V has amazing gameplay. I'm not sure what you're wanting out of the world in terms of "things to do", it's all the great gameplay the series has always had. Useless filler that other open worlds have like collecting flags and petting horses would have added nothing to that game.
