This is the same Rockstar that delayed LA Noir and sent in a cleanup squad to rescue the game. They've really taken their eye off the ball letting this unfinished mess out to the public and given the review embargo, they knew it was a mess. Really poor by Rockstar

Lacks all the style and charm of the series. It's not hard, bring Designers Republic on board and they would absolutely nail the aesthetic again instead of this watered down, cell shaded, lackluster effort.

Why stop at minors, it's a bullshit randomised pay to win mechanic. In the worst case (looking at you FIFA), the game is actually manipulated to ensure whatever benefit you get from loot boxes, is short lived so you then have to buy more.

Got to be the PlayStation 1. I remember being so excited to get one for Christmas, I even sneaked the manuals of the games out to read from where my parents were hiding them pre-wrapping. Wipeout 2097 and Tomb Raider were both incredible propositions to a 10 year old kid especially when pretty much everything before was 2D. Actually the Wipeout soundtrack is probably responsible for my career right now! It really turned me on to electronic music.
People are comparing Forza 5 which looks like a heavily graded and stylised production e.g. Top Gear, Grad Tour etc with GT7 that looks like fairly raw POV footage from a helmet cam.
Given that one is an open world, highly polished arcade experience vs one that is an out and out sim, you really can't say that the graphics are lacking. It's the presentation style that's different, that is all.
