It really really sucks when you can't read a review that doesn't have the extra undertone (or message) being displayed. Why can't we just read about the damn game anymore.
Thats exactly the thought process in this piece. $199 is way too much. Even $99 on a PlayStation TV is pushing it to be honest.

Agreed. He's definitely one of the more respectable people in the MS camp and knows what the challenge he's facing. He's going to surprise people when he starts locking down more exclusive content and pushing for new Ip. Gamers should be excited about this move especially.
I think you're reading it wrong. It doesn't talk about Forza being 60fps on Xbox One because of DX12. At all.
The post doesn't deny that Forza doesn't already run at 60fps on Xbox One.
It says that it runs at a "Static" 60fps on Direct X 12 (a PC api).
Direct X12 is headed to Xbone this year, and according to what was said, games could benefit from that.

The asterisk refers to software. You can read the details at the bottom. Xbox One is ONLY ineligible for the additional %10 power up rewards points. It fully qualifies for the additional %50 percent trade offer.

Ive had a couple of friends trade in standard edition consoles towards a special edition one. The red xbox 360 for Resident Evil comes to mind actually as one of them.

You can get the game for as low as $20 if you go digital with PS3 or 360 version. I'm not defending the pricing but there are multiple tiers. And if you're playing this for the actual experience / story I feel that the platform shouldn't matter.
And if you're lucky, maybe even as soon as this month ;).

It's saying that Pachter thinks cable companies will eat the upfront cost of the console for potential subscribers. Kind of like when a cell phone carrier "gives" you a cell phone on contract (or provides it at a much lower cost). It would make sense given Xbox One's approach to TV.
