The issue is if you look at a torrent website Sony games are downloaded in their millions. So you say why should that bother someone who has bought it on console? Well it bothers them because they have effectively paid $70 for a game that like it or not is now available on PC for free. Media likes to pretend that piracy is dead on PC just so they can pull the wool over publishers eyes so they will do ports.

The truth is piracy on PC is bigger than its ever been. If Sony ca...

No, I think less people bought the sequel. Not everyone was happy with the last game.

or maybe less people bought the sequel? That is pretty common to have a drop off on sequels if they weren't happy with the first one.

People act like Microsoft leaving is bad for competition, Microsoft staying is bad for competition. That monster is not going to be satisfied until they are the head of the table and everyone is paying them the privilege to exist on their "cloud servers" Sony and Nintendo are not big enough for that level of domination and never will be.

Game Pass is the kind of model that can easily take advantage of inexperienced developers and their sales potential. In some ways it reminds me of racketeering. It is more advantageous to a developer to put a game on Game Pass near the end of sales life rather than at the start. At the start it benefits Microsoft massively.

That is a pretty damning assessment, I mean we already knew Game Pass was very damaging but I'm surprised that someone who signed up for it for this early would be talking negatively about it. I guess the loss in revenue is worth talking about over keeping relations with Microsoft.

You have one job, make it at night time, blue light filter and pink laser shots. Don't copy Terminator Salvation. Humans don't come out at day as they are easy to spot.

Yeah get Quantum Break PS5, only if you put it on disc with all the associated movie material.

It doesn't help when consoles have a gate fee for multiplayer compared to PC. How does one justify that?

Quest 3 can go wired or wireless and standalone with AR/MR Passthrough. The PSVR2 can only do one of those things for the same price. I don't see why someone would buy a PSVR2 for PC unless it was at least half price. PSVR2 doesn't give you the same value as a Quest 3. I don't even like Meta and will never buy their headsets but even I can see the value is not comparable.

Isn't a no brainer to just have a PC, why do you have a PS5 if their games are on PC?

87d ago 2 agree10 disagreeView comment

You still need to buy a $500 PS5 and a $1000 PC, getting a bit pricey.

Did you see the Spider-man 2 sales on PC vs PS5? 60K vs 10 million. They don't need to be on PC at all with their games. The only reason they are doing it is because of Herman Hulst being a PC fanboy.

I think wireless VR is a big deal on PC given that Quest is the most popular headset for PC these days, WIFI6E and WIFI7 are both available too. I don't see people committing the best part of a decade to a wired headset especially when Valve Deckard is now reported to be standalone. You can say what you will about the eye tracking on PSVR2 but considering how under utilized it is on PS5 I have the expectation that most PCVR stuff will probably ignore it too as most high end GPU's can ...

Can't risk buying an Xbox game on PlayStation only for Phil Spencer to say sequel is now Xbox only. The guy is about as trust worthy as an inflatable dartboard. That would ultimately be his end goal with this strategy, do a rug pull on all followups. They have already not honored sequels to games that previously appeared on PlayStation.

The only thing that is stagnant is Phil Spencer. Time to go.

If it is digital only they can keep it. Judging by the release date I guess it probably is.

They also duped Sony into releasing games on PC too which they didn't need to do, Spider-man on Steam 60k+ units vs 10 million on PlayStation. Sony won't feel the pain of that move until PS6. When PS6 launches many people will say, these games are coming to PC so I'll just wait.
